Super great question!! I had never driven this race car (the video that I posted was the first time out with the AMG) before so I did not know what it would do with your tune plus I went with the wrong tire set up as you pointed out plus I did not have the correct transmission setting to get to use 6 gear so I lost a lot of time as result. I also like the challenge to drive as clean as possible as for me it makes GT6 that much more fun and as close to real life as possible. You have made this Rain Master tons more fun with your helpful comments and tunes, thank you!
your wellcome ! :)

don't get me wrong. I'm just kiddin'
considering wrong tyres (my fault as i allready told) and not optimized Gearbox setting its a very good laptime. 👍

Mine was just about a second better with (for me) optimized settings ... so dont worry your still a better driver at all :)

That damn Camaro was so easy that when I got back in the Elise my driving went to crap lol. I tried the S2000 again for fun, couldn't even complete a lap (hate that damn car). Tried the Furai, what a terrible car as well. The Opel Calibra was great, heavy, but great, too bad I can't find a decent tune for it, that car would really sing. I suppose I should try the Alfa next, I remember that car from like GT3, great sound.
The Calibra was one of the best cars here for me.
no need to loads of tuning. take it as it is :)

if you like i share my settings tomorrow

I've been working on the 20 mill version of the ford GT race car.
Man, compared to the other 90 ford GT's we have this one actually was a let down for the price of it. The mark IV almost tuned itself, the regular (85,86?) Were easy to get stable, the 2-3 mill one is a great car too.
This expensive one is fast as hell, but just wasn't meant for the rain. I got it winning in the 8:30's right now, but with its low weight and high speed it should be killing by now.
Since I bought it, it hasn't even seen a dry track yet, which could be why I am still tweaking it.
For 20 million dollars, it should win without me, make me a sandwich and get me a beer though.

I keep waiting to see one of ya try a bone stock 433 PP Motul Civic '87… no ABS either. Real life car had manual brakes as well, no booster.

The Motul Ciric '87 that I have got is still in the stockyard, why should we try it and I thought it was a no good car to try.

It's a great challenge. It's the lowest PP car I can win in, so I offered the challenge to you guys. I'm a big Honda fan.

Motul Civic
Civic Touring
Integra Touring
Other Integra Touring
Opera S2000
Spoon S2000
S2000 LM car

All stock. 👍

I will try it tomorrow 👍, what about the 2 fasters AI in the race can the Motul Civic beat them or you got to pick an easy field ?.

Everybody has their own challenge they prefer. I prefer cars that don't try to kill me, and tunes that are forgiving to my mistakes so I can a.) finish the race, and b.) push the car to my personal limits. Once I find such a car/tune, I have no problem lowering the PP to offer a challenge, but a track like The Ring is too long for super slow cars. IMO this race would be better with 550 PP.

I'll keep working on the Elise but I'm pretty sure it's too fast.

Just beat this with the Nissan R32 Calsonic, completely stock tuning with the power limited to comply with the 500pp and RS's

Was a close win along with the car just wanting to go sideways under braking every time.

This is going to be a lot of fun. Going to have a go with a few FF cars. Motel Civic come to mind.

Which means you burner boys could probably break 8 with it.

Ok, you love Hondas, so do I. Here's a challenge and a 1/2 for ya;
I've been trying to tweak the S800 RSC '68 to win this.
(444pp) Highest I have gotten was 6th place, down from 4th before the last straight where 2 repassed me.
Ive got it performing perfect, just can't seem to find a gear set to make it win. It acts like its 5000kg's below 3rd gear, then quickens up fast. Corners like an HSV though, lol ^^

Ford, ultimate, you, skea, among about 10 others I know could get close.
That is close enough though, lol.
I changed the transmission and gearing and dropped 10 seconds off my personal time. Increased the top "wet speed" from around 139-145 up to 145-152ish. But also increased power in 2nd and 3rd, getting that jump I think it was missing.

(And I guess trying it with IM tires also)

But yes, I believe this car is one of those 'hidden game gems' that we have. Can be tuned to suit track/weather/speed/weight easily and outperform most other choices. But its a big beast from pre1970 that wasn't made by a European company, so most people dismiss it when choosing cars for races.

Just tried this Camaro Z28 Race Car '69 car and tune for Gold. Awesome. Love the roar of the engine too. (((((ROAARRR)...What a sound. Love the original orange colour also. My tyre of preference of course IM, which I continue to race with for this event. Thanks for an awesome car suggestion and tune @demonchilde . Cheers.

If 550PP; TS030 will be on board..

OK Cory, so I tried the Motul Civic, and I have to say, I absolutely HATE that understeering, tire-burning piece of crap car. 3 laps is all you'll get from me. RS tires with an Exeter tune (stock PP).

After trying various other cars that sucked, I decided to give the Opera S2000 another go with some tweaks, and definitely found some more time. The interesting thing is that it's grippier on RI but I personally can't produce a faster time on them, the difference being negligible. Something about them I don't like, probably the way they skid. Definitely more grip, but somehow less control. They REALLY like this S2000 though, and hate the Elise.

Interestingly, I can't beat the Elise Race Car, but I can't win with it either. Also, the '03 ARTA Amaiya seems much faster than the '08. Pretty easy win with the '03, actually. I haven't tried the '03 ARTA against the Elise yet.

maybe a different driving style make a difference.. waiting for Cory's Video for his driving syle. Maybe there's few tips to learn about driving a stock 433PP car against Elise.
