Despite being short wheelbase, RWD, and light, my Elise carves this event up like a Christmas turkey! Even with the paltry 137 mph top speed on the straight, nothing is a match for it in the corners! Beyond that, it's just a joy to drive here. Color me surprised.
Good job with the Elise '11...👍
I used the Elise 111R '04 and got the same race time...
Cheers for the Heads up on using a Lotus...
That would be awesome. Thanks! TBH, I've always feared that car.I can give you my tune for the "Yellow Bird" if you want.
Thanks. I haven't used the '04, might try it in a bit. I bought a new '11 and added the flat floors as suggested earlier, but it doesn't add any to the top speed unless you're drafting, still 138/139. Still, I was able to make a few tweaks and come up with a slightly faster time. I'll hit it again tonight for a bit, very fun race in this car.
Flat floors in GT6 generally add downforce at the expense of top speed. They can be good on more technical tracks, but anytime that you can benefit from more speed or don't need the downforce, they act as a burden. The only time flat floors really helped me in a seasonal was with weird tracks with high power cars. With he dodge viper seasonal at eiger nordwand flat floors took seconds off my laps. Other than that I think I removed flat floors on every vehicle I tried them on.
You're not alone. I've heard it's been programmed into the game so that the racing line accumulates the least water (due to the fact that cars are pushing standing water off of the racing line typically). It is particularly noticeable once the track begins to dry off, as the racing line will dry first, with the rest of the track remaining wet for some time.I have a question and I hope that I describe this so you can all understand me...
Has anyone else noticed, or felt, when you're driving outside of the worn driving line - if your car then drifts through the driving line that it feels like the car is pulled, or pushed, by the water on the track? It seems like when I'm driving around corners in this race that my car kind of jumps around when I'm not just following a smooth driving line. It might be something I'm inventing in my head - maybe its just my front tires sliding in the wetness...but I feel something in my steering wheel when this happens to me. I've never driven on a worn racetrack in the rain, but I have driven on public roads a thousand times in heavy rain and I've experienced this phenomenon in a real car. Hopefully I've described this somewhat clearly. Anyone??
Use the Tank car
IIRC, CargoRat has a fantastic tune for the Range Rover.
Have you tried the tunes for the Range Rover from GT6 Tune Directory? It seems to have disappeared from GTP. Shame.
Well, I've found something stable with the Rover, but it's not satisfying. I know it can do better.
