Just to give it a go I tried it on a stock yellow bird. It seemed impossible because the car is over 500pp. I lowered power limiter to 500 pp and didn't touch anything else. I ran no aids except abs 1 because I figured adjusting brakes wasn't stock. It actually wasn't hard to win once I figured out the do's and don'ts. The car accelerates very well as long as it's pointed exactly straight, anything other than perfectly straight and your in for trouble. It also brakes in a straight line very well. Everywhere on the track that isn't straight I coasted, granny shifted and used a lot of left foot braking technique on my ds3. I won by only a second or so, but think I could easily repeat it since it took me three tries to figure out. I think I was running consistent 1:53's iirc, and the rabbit was the gtr

The stock Yellow Bird was actually easy for me. Run 1:49 in the first lap, and 1:47 on the others. I didn't think it was THAT slippery (it was, but it's very controllable IMO)... and it's a fast car. Passed the rabbit (a Corvette) in the middle of the last lap.
Now try the Alpine A310 with i tried after. This car is BAD lol.

Threw the first car that appeared in my list, Subaru S206 NBR CHALLENGE PACKAGE '12, got gold first time around. Just taking the R8 on the last corner.
Did it again with a greater lead.
Third time I was in the lead with a lap to go.
This is E a s e y money.

With no driving aids? That's pretty impressive compared to me. You on ds3 or a wheel?

DS3 and no driving aids.
Of course the Yellowbird is over 500PP, so i added 200 kg to the ballast to lower pp, so maybe the extra wieght helps controlling it... but the fact is that i don't find it to be THAT difficult to drive, at least not on a raining Spa Francorchamps (i bought one just to race this, so i didn't drive it anywhere else yet).
The Lancia Stratos was harder for me to control... and again the Alpine A310 for me is hell lol

Due to inclement weather I had to run this one with the daily driver/grocery getter.

What I like most about this seasonal event is the rain. I never, ever drive in rain when I'm out driving around on my own. I don't know why, I just hardly ever do. I hardly ever drive at night either, but that's for a different event... Anyway, this event is great because it's forcing me to work on not only my driving skills in 100% wet conditions, but adjusting my car's set-up for the wet environment.

What do you think is more important? To drop weight at the expense of horsepower? Or increase power for passing cars and just deal with the weight? I've tried both ways with a couple of different cars and I've had success with each method, but I've also failed with each method. It probably doesn't help that I'm absolutely terrible at adjusting suspension & alignment. :banghead:

I think the more weight the better in the rain but again I will have to see if it work for this seasonal.

I'd already won in a stock RGT, which was pretty hairy, so I had to give the Yellow Bird a go. How hard can it be? Pretty hard as it turns out. It's plenty fast enough but my is it a handful. Eventually got the win against a Viper but my best laps were around the 2:55 mark. I couldn't get anywhere near @MJdoEgito 's times without resorting to SRF. I was using a wheel and normal view, stock except for the power limiter, and just abs1. I also tried with 200kg ballast and a bit more power but it didn't seem to make much difference.

I will give it a go and thanks for all the information regarding the Yellow Bird.

Couple of easy wins in Range Rover Evoque and Storia x4 - great fun throwing the Daihatsu around.

The Isuzu 4200R took a bit more care but handled nicely and won over the Yellowbird.

Then a couple respectable showings:

Had a go with Yellow Bird. I use DS3 + auto, BTW. I started with AS mild, SRF ON, and TC1. This was the result.

I slowly turned everything off, getting better and better at the track along the way, and managed an 8:50 (with a 360°!).

There is something very satisfying about passing a GTR mid-corner in the rain on the OUTSIDE in a proper RWD Porsche. Made me smile :).

Holy crap, AWD cars are massively easier here.

For reference, that's my first attempt in the car using @hall90's tune from the current seasonal (and AT, TC1, ABS1, and the driving line for aids), while chatting with my wife. Granted, it was an easy field, but still, that's 6.08 seconds faster than my best attempt with my RUF RGT where I was under a lot of pressure from AI. And I didn't feel like I was fighting the car to get that result.

Easy money indeed.

AWD cars are very easy here, but I'm running quite a bit faster with rwd. Is it bad I already made 30 million with this seasonal, lol.

Finally found a use for the new (but old by now) nsx concept

Something that's weird here. I show 50 million credits, like always, and I get the pop-up at the end of every race saying I can't have more than that. But then I go out to the main menu and it shows 49,960,000. I wonder what happens to that 40,000? Weird.

Negative interests on your capital? :dopey:

Initially used the GT-R Black Edition for easy win. But felt it was too slow though it was clocking 2:44.

Switched to stock NSX-R Prototype LM with TC and ABS off and boy it was fun. NSX clocks 2:40:2xx easily with (compulsorily) going sideways at Rivage! :D

As others mentioned, i ll try the Yellow Bird today.
