2nd in a priaino tuned Gallardo LP560... it only has 380hp

i tried to tune my GTR 07 but I doubt it will work as it has only got 318hp at 500pp... I think I have the flat floor and such.

I'm getting close. I reckon one of the R32-R34 Skylines would do it.
Used the r34......Too easy.

I was pretty shocked by this one. I figured traction would be horrible with 100% water, but my old gt40 drove just fine with no traction control, it was actually faster than the awd cars I ran.

Pretty easy racing, even considering the rain.

I won first time out in the Elise 111R, beating a Zonda C12 (all that power and nowhere to go!). I then used a fairly stock WRX STI Spec C '09 to thrash a Yellow Bird by nearly half a minute. Over 1.4 million credits for about 15-20 minutes work!!

Clearly a light, 4WD car is the one to have here for easy credits.

Glad we've finally got a more interesting Expert Level race. Quite easy, AI is pretty slow in the wet but still fun to drive some different cars in interesting conditions. Still like the fact that there's more grip off the racing line in the wet like in real life. Used a 500PP Alfa Brera.

This is going to be a fun Seasonal Event for me. I just recently made the switch to cockpit view all the time, so I'm currently a few seconds off my typical pace when racing and then factor in the rain...should be a event to run multiple times. I'm going to have to go on a shopping spree though. I'm at 45,000,000 credits right now, so I need to go buy a bunch of cars.

I think I'll try the Audi R8 Chrome Line -- it seems to be a popular choice. Oh, someone asked about driving aids... I'll be sure to drive several RWD cars in this event. I never, ever use traction control. The only aid I use is ABS=1 and occasionally I even turn ABS completely off. Good luck! 👍

The ft86 concept 09 is a lot of fun here, it's significantly faster than any car I have ran (including zz2) here and my tune feels a bit off. It also has a snazzy interior which is nice.

Stock Honda NS-X Type R (1992 in British Racing Shallot Green) (No ABS or Traction Control or other girly-man things)

Top fun race against a Tony Southgate R390 Road car and a Ferrari GTO. I only just managed to squeak out a last gasp win with a clean but desperate dive up the inside at the final chicane (It looks nothing like a Bus Stop anymore -give it a new name the "Frites and Mayonnaise combo"

I used a 69 z28 Camaro as per usual. Got first and been grinding it some. Def love this event as it is fresh compared to some others.

How come the driver of the BMW Z8 doesn't put up is top? It's raining buddy.

When that happened in GT5 (it was an AI driving the Cobra) I nealy fell out of my seat with laughter - I forgot about the race and just kept following him to see if he got soaked. He didn't. Must have been a duck, not a rabbit.

"Say, it's only a paper moon
Sailing over a cardboard sea
But it wouldn't be make-believe
If you believed in me . . .."

Done with many cars, since it's very easy. The most stylish being a Chrysler Prowler, the nicest being the Suzuki Concept S2 (driving FF cars in the rain is like having traction control on a FR car; it's damn fun!) and the fastest being the Shelby Series 1 (2:40).
All of them modified up to 500 PP and nothing else.
Also, the Dome Zero is FAST on straights, nice piece of car!

Brave man. I don't care for the cockpit view for two reasons. First and foremost among them being I have no sense of speed, which is important for both immersion and for judging how on-the-limit my car is. Second, the view is too restrictive. While the visibility we can enjoy in the “normal” view is, admittedly, unrealistically overboard, I feel like the cockpit view swings things too far in the other direction. Half your field of view is taken up by the dash, especially if you don’t use one of the narrower field-of-view settings. And while the FOV settings help somewhat, they also make it so you can’t see around corners well, which is already an issue (unless you’re one of those lucky people with a three TV setup :) ).

I do it for fun from time to time (no HUD elements, interior view), but I can’t imagine setting good lap times in it. I especially have a terrible problem in that view of missing braking zones and plowing off the track into everything. (Though maybe that’s as much losing the sense of speed as it is losing the driving line, which I’m entirely too dependent on).

Anyway, good luck! Seems like you can crank out the lap times to make it work—losing some time to the cockpit view probably won’t be enough to totally sandbag you. ;)

The lack of ability to control the tops on convertibles is maddening. It ruins the lines on cars like the SL55 AMG or the Ferrari California. (It's my understanding that they do that to make it easier for the game to run.)

Trusty 22B with a @praiano63 tune from way back make quick work of this one for a station wagon!!?? Now I have a month to run this. I guess that means every drivetrain configuration and see how low I can go on PP. Granted 730,000 credits is a good payout but I don't need or want any more cars. I had to spend 2 million credits just so I wouldn't lose the payout. I guess PD has thrown in the towel on GT6. I guess we'll never see the course maker. This will be my last Gran Turismo since I have no plans to buy a PS4 especially since there is no telling when GT 7 may appear. Maybe the price will go down on the PS4 by the time GT 7 appears. It was fun will it lasted. I guess i'll go back to GT5 and build hybrids.

The baby bull is a good one for this race. The grocery getter you win will do the job too, just slap the wets on her & go. AI runs off the road a bunch...

I have only used the Heavy Wet tires so far. Has anyone used Intermediate tires? Which were better for you?

Did it! Youtube video will be out Monday :)

Took my first crack at this race. Only 3 laps does make it harder, combined with the fact that I think they tweaked the wet weather physics back in the spring or something.

I got a few turns in with a completely stock RGT and it was feeling crappy, so I switched it to my normal 500 PP tune.

Got past the Ferrari California in 3rd place...

...and immediately screwed up. :dunce:

Got back out on the track as fast as I could, caught up with the Nissan GT-R in first right at the last chicane, bumped him and got the ghost-penalty...

...which prompted a drag race to the finish!

...that I lost. :)

I went to try again and our puppy decided he had to spend 10 minutes standing outside not going to the bathroom only to immediately pee on the carpet about 3/4 of the way through my first lap. :banghead:

I'll have to try it again tomorrow.

Only Heavy Wets are allowed.

If anyone is having any trouble with this event just go ahead and use the Tommykaira ZZII. That car is a ringer in the dry, in the wet and probably on the moon... I thought maybe because I was de-tuning it, it wouldn't be so dominant. I was wrong.

I wish the low PP bonus from GT5 still existed (or something like it). That was an interesting feature.

Though we really need leaderboards for that sort of thing.

Ahh...I've heard of that GT5 feature. GT6 is my first foray into video game racing/driving, whatever... I wonder why they would eliminate something like that?

Absolute no difficulty in heavy rain races. It seems they get easier every time.

Done with the Audi tune from @shaunm80.

It'll obviously be easy with a 4WD Audi R8 which has been tuned very well, make it difficult. use something garbage or do what I did an be a lunatic attempting to drift every corner

One great car and would like to own one. I will have to see on line the story of this car and if they still make them. Glad to see that your doing cockpit view.
