I'm up to the '86 models. I've been running everything stock, and the only two wins (yet) are with the '83 Silvia 240RS (S110) no surprise, and the '84 Nissan Skyline Hard Top 2000 RS-X Turbo C (R30). Plenty of second places with many other cars, though.
The '85 Honda Today G was actually kind of fun, but slow of course. Never drove it until now.

Nissan Be-1. Power upgrade to 377 PP, 89 BHP only (Stage 2, Sports Computer, Isometric Manifold, Sports Cat Converter, Intake Tuning). All else stock with CM tyres. Only field I tried.
Took a couple of goes (1 loss by 0.6 sec and 1 shunt off the track by N. Schwab on the last corner). Slow running but close finishes.

Watching people complete this challenge on Todays and Be-1s gave me an idea: why not to start a contest on winning this challenge in a worst car possible, like aforementioned Honda Today or Nissan PAO?

I've come to realise that running comfort hard tyres is a lot more fun than running low pp cars.
It becomes more of a race, less of an obstacle course as your apex speed is close to the AI's.
It also enhances each car's characteristics and dynamics in a way that higher level tyres tend to mask.

If you want a chuckle this might be your chance. I used my Ballade Sports CRX, complete with fully lowered ride height and -4.0 degrees of camber (which was bumped all the way up after the race) on all wheels. Stage 1 engine tuning, intake tuning, sports computer and a semi racing exhaust topped this car off as far as performance goes. Greek White paint and gray rims to match the trim color finished it off all the way. Yes, I won the race. 
In all seriousness though, the only reason why I used this car is because it was the only one I had that fit the regulations. I obviously could've bought a new one but I didn't feel the need to if I already had the CRX.

Super Easy Race; but with 200% Money Reward is quite a tempting motivational tool to tune-up so many cars fall under this Category that long left undriven. Plus; getting used to Comfort Tyre Limitation is good and useful.

Hi Shaun. When I use your tune for the 89 300ZX it comes out to 470pp. I've double checked everything and the results still come up the same. No oil change and all power options set to standard. Not a big deal since this is probably a pretty easy event. But I was looking forward to using the 300 because I owned and loved the the 1990 version of this car which is exactly the same. It was by far my favorite car ever. I now drive an Infiniti G37 which is the closest you can come to that 300Z made from 1989 through 1996. You would think the new 350/370ZX's would be the closest to the older Z but they don't even compare to those awesome 300Z's from the early 90's.
Anyway, thanks in advance!
EDIT: My bad. I bought the wrong Z. The names of the Z's look so similar so I got confused. All sorted out now. Thanks for the tune and nostalgia. One of these days I'm gonna find one of these Z's with low mileage and mint condition to buy for myself!
