So . . . we got a Japanese 'Challenge', and a Hot Hatch 'Race' . . . but this one is a 'Battle'.

:(

Dang it . . . I miss the console. I so want to battle!
If I can find a few good match-ups I'll be thrashing those rabbit butts no end.

I would think the best idea is to find a car that doesn't neccesarily give us the advantage of scooting off into the distance but placing us in the pack; that should give us a decent battle.

Got to find that Reynolds number to initiate chaos. :D

I used the NSX Concept and it rocked through the pack. What's not to like, a 4 X 4 Hybrid that sounds like a V-8 but it's supposed to be a V-6 twin turbo according to Motor Trend magazine. Really nice car actually.

I'm glad to see another track I really like. I won it with a '13 Boss 302 with @praiano63 tune. This tune is phenomenal I only adjusted the FG to 3.30 and won by 11 sec. over the '02 Ford GT Concept. Way to easy at 550PP. I guess I'll get to use all of my muscle cars again. 1:34 laps except for lap 1 was a 1:37. P1 before the end of lap 2. It's like @Polsixe the AI are very bad. My 1st lap would have been faster had it not been for the AI road block.

I used the Chevy Corvette Stingray C7.
50:50 weight distribution and soft suspension is great for this track.
Also lapped the last Ai in lap 5. I missed Trial Mountain.Thank you PD.

Steering sensitivity at +1 or +2, all aids off, except ABS 1 ( if not comfortable with ABS 0 ) with 4/4 brake balance as starting point.

Notes :
The Camaro GT3 had a rough start back in 2012, the first European team from Germany who used the car, YACO Racing Team struggled to be competitive, spending most of their racing time at the back of the pack, several seconds off pace in lap time.

But, that's not the reason for not making this replica :D This year, 2014, the Camaro GT3 will debut again in Europe, with better brakes and bigger wheels as well as many aero improvements.

This build is trying to replicate the BLANCPAIN 2014 spec of the Camaro GT3 built by SaReNi United / Reiter Engineering. The car has 500HP and over 800Nm of torque, with 1290kg of weight. I can't replicate the car weight and distribution at 55/45, so I used the closest I can get and maintain the 1310 kg from ADAC version.

I do not install flat floor on this build, so please be careful with throttle on low speed exit. I will make another version with flat floor. Without flat floor, the top speed and acceleration is much higher with lower PP. It comes with benefits and drawback ( lower cornering speed ).

Suspension has been tuned with mechanical grip in mind, damper, ARB and spring rate are optimized for traction and highest cornering speed possible on racing hard tire. I decided to use higher rear spring rate to make the car more willing to rotate while very controllable. There might be slight push/understeer, but it's more for safety cushion, so you know you are reaching over the limit and the real car also has unique understeer traits.

LSD is 2 way as usual for this type of car ( racing tire ), I tuned the preload pretty high to avoid sudden changes in grip between rear tires. While high locking rate make sure traction are even near the limit.

For gearing, I used previous replica GT3 homologated gearing and adapted for this car, as I couldn't find detailed info on Camaro GT3 homologation gearing. Final has been setup for good launch on 1st gear, while having good top speed and acceleration throughout the gears.

I tuned and tested at Tsukuba, Brands Hatch GP, Monza with chicane, Silverstone GP, Nurburgring GP/F, Nurburgring GP/D, and Fuji Speedway F.

ENJOY

First time I have to do this track since I switched from AT & all assists to MT & no assists about 2 weeks ago, so I picked my highest pp bone stock car allowed and that was the Corvette Z06 (C6) '06. Driving it with real shifting too so for this car it's H-clutch & 3 pedals (G27).

This is a track I didn't like much when I was playing with AT and assists on but I have to admit with this Corvette it was a fun ride. First lap was mostly about getting used to the new conditions but I was doing ok. Third lap I was losing control just after the first tunnel from hitting the gas a bit too confident but I could regain control just in time to prevent smacking into the rock walls. I was already in 2nd position at the beginning of lap 4 but the top rabbit seemed to be FAR away, eventually caught up with him and passed him in the first corner after the long straight in the 5th lap, the rest was controlled driving towards victory! :)

I think this will be my favorite of the 3 new A-spec races since I don't like city circuits and driving at night time sceneries only works without sun/daylight reflecting in my TV. :)

Am i the only one who insists on finishing every race labeled "muscle car" with a Tesla model S? :P

Works like a charm, won on my first try. Used the same car in the career mode muscle car races too.

I did my first win with the Shelby GT500, it was awful. My 2nd win was with Tesla, it was PLENTY of fun actually, the car is blisteringly fast..

What's wrong with the GT500? I actually like that car a lot, just like most classic American cars.

The Tesla's... I don't know, regardless of how well they might perform, I just miss that V8 roar way too much. :)

Great couple of runs in a GNX at 450pp SH. Fairly close win as the SRT10 ACR Viper and Ford GT were on me like a pair of Velociraptors on the straights.

edit: total time 9.09.999 (couldn't do that again :dopey:) with the GT 0.5xx behind.
second run was 9.08.xxx.

experienced something strange, did this race 2 times:
first time with the camaro ss '10 and won by aprox 10 seconds
second time with the ford focus rs '02 and won by aprox 4 seconds ahead of the same rabbit car.
the strange thing is that my overall time was better with the ford but the rabbit car finished closer to me.

The Infiniti Coupe Concept 06 (another famous american muscle car) does the job bone stock (458PP). It's not fast, but it handles like a dream. The sound of the engine is good, the interior... chocolate and the outside rear view mirrors... cams.
