It looks like I am the first one to post that I used a Lamborghini Gallardo. On tab A I had recently configured Ridox's Replica GT3 tune, but I modified it for this race. I kept the vehicle about 120kg lighter but had less HP than his tune. I kept his suspension, transmission and drivetrain settings all the same. My best lap time was 1:37.486, These are my first Seasonal Event A-Spec races that I'm not using the driving line. Considering how poorly I know Leguna Seca, I was quite happy. I won by 6 seconds.

P.S. WTF is with the LFA Nurburgring Edition that shot past me at the 1st hairpin turn at 150MPH on lap 5?! It literally scared me for a second or two. All of a sudden this animal zips past me on the inside (in my turning line) and fly's into the sand. On replay I noticed he was about to t-bone me but swerved at the last possible second. He would have killed my driver, for sure. ;-)

EDIT: 1:33.290 was my best lap. I'm sorry, I read the wrong car in the Live Timing section of Replay. Oops!!

Did this with a stock GT-R Black Edition because I wanted to try the car untuned - it's a nice car to just drive, but when you wanna go fast you've got to kick out the back end a bit to make it turn.

I knew it was going to win being under the limit by a few PP, but I wanted to see what it felt like. I'm sure the Rocket I have would also stomp all over the AI with this one as well, but I'll need to have a look in my garage and see what cars I could try that I haven't already tried on the Apricot Hill race from last time.

I used the Ram 1500 Laramie with suspension, transmission, full LSD, Power: Stage 2 NA Tune, Sports Computer, Racing Exhaust, Isometric Exhaust Manifold, Sport Converter, Intake Tuning, Supercharger.

Stage 3 Weight reduction, Carbon Hood, Window weight reduction.

I put in a 19 second victory over two different rounds of Lexus LFA Nurburgring, and Ferrari F430 Scuderia.

A slightly modified variation of another of my tunes.

Might come back with a race report but for now, I'll just say it was a very easy race with my NSX Type R '02.

I used the same car in the last intermediate race, but in that post I misattributed the source of my tune. Praiano does amazing tunes, but the tune I used actually came from AVRG. (Acan's Virtual Racing Garage) @Acan did an amazing job on this car. It was a favorite of mine back in GT5 (to the point where I gave it a name), and it continues to serve me well in GT6.

Thank you, for testing and using the Nsx tune. Hope the tune gives more to better drivers/players.

Did i last night with the Pontiac Firebird with very little tuning. That car is made for this track. Very easy and enjoyable ride.

Won with BRZ tuned to about 470pp with stock suspension. Really enjoying these aspec seasonal. One thing that would be nice is if each time you retried the race the grid was randomised with same cars just different grid positions, so that you don't have to quit out to get a new set of opponents...

I did it with a stock Caterham. Had to keep an eye on the LFA behind me, it was constantly rear ending me in every corner entry.

So I tried to do this with an underpowered Toyota 86 for the fun of it, 1st by 4th lap... last turn, last lap AI Lambo gallardo comes from 3 seconds behind and forgets to break.... punts me a mile and he cruises through for the easy win....

WOW. GT6. wow....

This one is easy win even with stock car with little to no tuning and I'm newbie driver with wheel and ABS1 only. M3/LFA/Ferrari are my favorite to win these intermediate events.

How comes the expert level 600/700 PP event is always way harder than these 400pp and 550pp event?? I took me a while to gold the expert level.

I got an easy win here with a 500pp RX-7 on SH that I first used in the amature race. The leading LFA was running laps in the 1:50s, but after I took the lead went down to 1:38s. And of course it smashed into me at the corkscrew in the final lap.

I had a relatively easy win in my X-BOW. The PP was only in the 520-something range and I used a lesser tire as well. I had the lead by the end of Lap 2 and was only marginally hassled by a Ferrari behind me.

I wasn't a big fan of the X-BOW when the game first came out, but it's grown on me the last few months as I've gotten used to the "feel" of the car.

Beat this one easily with my fully modded Audi TT. Its actually pretty funny how the AI keeps crashing. The Lambo Gallardo would have had my number if it didnt keep crashing.

Well, well, well...
I didn't want to use "big" cars like an NSX, LFA, Corvette, Ferrari, Jaguar, etc.
So I decided to dust my Alpine A110 off, as it remains one of my favorites. Really fun to drive.

Tuned to 500pp. It was an easy win. Its top speed is not very high, but this is not a problem on Laguna Seca.

Hey guys what are good laps to be running on this event? So I can see how slow I am Lol

That is certainly going to depend on the car you are driving (and the PP value, of course). I'm not at home right now, but I can tell you that when I first ran this race I used my Lamborghini Gallardo and won quite easily. Yesterday I took out my BMW M3 GTR and ran it at 500PP and had a much closer race. Luckily, I still won despite a pit maneuver by the AI at the hairpin turn on Lap 5.

Thanks ALB123 I ran the nsx type r and think I was getting 1.29.xxx but I'm gonna try all the cars that I can use just for some fun

Love coming back to this track now and then..

1:30:040 (consistent within half second lap after lap) in a Lamborghini Gallardo, sport medium tyres, stock tranny. absolute delight for braking into modulated controllable drifts and flat out at every corner, planted. NO Aids, ==> brake early, upon continued braking approaching apex, The car will naturally align into a mild safe oversteer(and stops over-rotating!) and then gun it on way out (all corners). easy and safe skating around all AI. just be patient in the first two laps, you will reach 1st in lap 3. (unlike purposely knocking them 540 degrees on the mini Autumn Ring circuit.)

stock LSD settings works excellent (might want to lower front brake decel down a notch), just play with firming up the rebound dampers, and a slightly lowered rear end, and a stiffer front spring. positive toes .04 / .14, brake 5f/4r. semi-racing pipe, carbon hood, and sport cat, I think its at 546 or 549pp. Roll Bars are 4f/5r if I remember, stiffer in rear. nice white tyre temps all over. love sport meds in GT6.

Played around with different cars today. Such weirdness with the AI. I was in my Dino on lap 4, in third place, coming up to overtake the Gallardo. Passed him. We're going up to the Screw, behind a Scuderia, Scuderia overshoots and hits the wall, Gallardo is behind me flying and takes me with him into the runoff. Luckily I didn't hit the wall. Gallardo recovers first with me close behind him and the Scuderia about 2 cars back. We battle into 9 and I take him at 10. Entering 11, I see them both coming in HOT in my rearview mirror. Luckily I enter the turn before they do and I see them both overshoot into the wall. lol Race won. In the replay, I see the Scuderia come out of that crash first but catches that piece of the wall that juts out on the left and spins. lol
Two races before this, again with my Dino, was another crazy one. I'm in a battle with an LFA Nurbugring but about 3 cars lead. We're coming into 11. I didn't see him. Too late. He slams into me, pushes me a bit past the line but not off, and he takes the inside and wins. I go for revenge and replay the race. Weird thing this time is I overtake him on lap 2 and he was in 4th and WAY slower than he was in the last race.

yep this isnt too hard at all but its still a good challenge

i find the AI kind of funny... you can get to 1st place by the 3rd lap but suddenly the AI wants to ram you just before the corkscrew or the final hairpin before and after the main straight

i almost swear its intent to ram you off!

occasionally you follow the AI and see they completely dont brake or brake enough on the main tight corners and drive straight into the sand

its almost a war of attrition as you dont need to drive that aggressive and overtake... you just need to drive clean and wait for their mistake

finish it with heaps of cars but enjoy the detuned Aventador the most

Took my Mazda RX-8 Type S '07 to the track yet again at 450pp today, but this time I ran it without the weight reduction and added a sports computer, isometric ex manifold, and sports catalytic converter along with the sports exhaust [power limiter@97.3=290bhp] and SM tyres.

A smooth fun run with no mistakes for a comfortable 4 seconds win over the LFA. :D

Had a Lotus Carlton at 550pp on Sports Hard - my attempts at tuning reduced the power oversteer quite a lot, but it was still a little unruly at corner exit.

I was well in the lead on the final lap, I'd just about finished braking at entry to the Corkscrew when I got speared by the 2nd place GTR that came out of nowhere. I finished second of course after clawing my way back on to the track. I checked the replay - he was still doing 80mph when he hit me, but of course he carried on as if nothing had happened :irked:.

So I then used SM tyres, and managed to avoid AI lunacy for a comfortable win.
