Managed to actually pick a car that gave a close race this time around. The Mazda Roadster Touring Car. Won by 0,8 seconds over the DELTA S4. Fun car to drive on this track + looks pretty cool without the roof.

I won with the Citroën C4 rally car. But this car is not fun to drive. It has massive understeer, the wheels turn to red in no time! I had to tweak the suspension a little bit to make it more drivable..

@photonrider : Tested with all assists enabled :) Just as slow before I passed the leader, but halfway on last lap, the leader becomes a bit quicker to keep up ( rubber band ) Easily did 4:55s with reckless driving and the 2nd AI trailing 1 second behind due to rubber aid. Not gonna do assists run anymore, it was boring  Like driving automaton drone box, no drama, just point and shoot.

Got a simple tune for the Megan Trophy that can do 21s 1st sector, easy 1:25s flat lap and 4:48s or less race time :) Based on a online race league tune made a year ago. Optimized to run on minimum aero, if wanted more planted rear, simply increase rear aero :D Easy 6th on 1st lap, 2nd on 2nd lap, and beat the 1st AI on the 1st turn of last lap with no fuss  Perfectly tuned so the car can be tailored by moving ballast position or increase/decrease of rear aero.

I used the very same car, on SS. Same car that's being used in this weeks WRS TT event. I am not participating in the event, but I went ahead and created a tune anyways for others to use. Here is the tune if anyone is interested.

Again, I did this event using SS as per the tune. I tried RH but did not like the way the car handled so you may want to change some things on the tune if you use RH.

Hey guys,

my first choice of car was the C-West Razo Silvia, simply because it leaped to my eye when scrolling my car list and I hadn't driven that for ages. May it be the fact I didn't use a tune or just that the car is too slow, I did have no chance for victory.:boggled:

I thought the Spoon S2000 Race Car might be a good choice and it definitely is!👍
As I'm participating in the current WRS TT "Spooning Ascari" I used the same tune as there. I did use the original RH tyres though and they work fine with that tune in my opinion.

The first run on the S2000 with 490 PP (only oil change) felt good but when seeing gaps of even more than +20 seconds after first lap I decided I probably should install the engine stage 3 and adapt the Power Limiter to 500 PP. So I was finally prepared best possible way.

My hardest rivals have been the Delta S4 Rally Car and Quattro Rally Car. I managed to catch up to the leading Delta S4 before the very last chicane but couldn't pass him, finished 2nd. Another try necessary.

I improved my lap times and could pass the leader on the outside in that long 270° left turn.👍

Since the 3 lap race takes less than 5 Minutes to complete and u will be rewarded by 250.000 Cr I decided to repeat that race a couple of times to increase my amount of Credits. Furthermore the S2000/Madrid combo was real fun.;)

I was able to catch the two leading cars earlier with every further try, on the last try I could overtake the Delta S4 on the downhill straight. My best lap times went down from 1'26.xxx in the beginning to 1'24.9xx.

Probably I'm gonna run this event some more times during its availability, maybe with other cars too. It's challenging fun and u make quite a lot credits in short time.

So far tried three times and best is 2nd and despite not winning yet im having alot of fun as this one. Touring & Rally is right up my ally.

1.Subaru Impreza Touring car = 3rd: Had the Audi Quattro and Lancia S4 as rabbits (was down on power 248bhp @ 500PP)

2.Toyota Celica Rally Car '97 = 3rd: Had the Lancia S4 and I screwed up a turn, hitting the barrier and lost time on 2nd place.

3.Toyota Celica Rally Car '97 = 2nd: Had the Lancia S4 and GT-R N24 GT Academy. Could of won if it had not been for the GT-R N24 GT Academy trying to turn me around.

Not giving up though

EDIT: 8 races and still no win. really annoying me now. Might give up on this one

Use the Subaru gt300, tight, but can win with it. The imprezza touring car got me a few second places against the delta and co, with laps down around 25-26. Seems I was driving fast, but not enough. The gt3 will give you laps around 22-3 which is enough for the win. cheers.

Used an Evolution 6 Rally Car with high acceleration ratios (plus DL LOL) and win...

DL stands for Driving Line. So i brake late to win the race...

I believe my lap times were 1:29, 1:27 and 1:27. Which was enough to win by .9 of a second.

I took the advice of jbaffoh, and went with the Amemiya Asperadrink RX-7. Tuned with Praiano's tune this car is a dream on Race Hards. Thanks for that suggestion, because running consistent 1:27 flat means a win every time and the car handles like a dream!!
Cheers, Pete

It's been a firm fav of mine ever since getting the 'FTO LM' in GT1 and ragging the rubber off of it for thousands of miles in GT1, 2, and 3. :D
It's just a shame that the STC hasn't got the fully loaded beef that the LM had. :(

LM Versions were Epic. luved the Scooby myself but the bright yellow FTO was a close second

I totally agree with all said, loved the FTO LM since GT1, especially the green version.
When thinking back on GT1 this car comes to my mind first, I have wonderful memories of the SS R 11 endurance race in that one.

I remember that besides this great FTO LM the Cerbera LM was one of the best cars of that game. Such a pitty this one is no more existing in the game.

1-Megane Trophy Base Model. easy win
1a-Megane Trophy race car easy win
2-cilo v6 trophy -win
3-s2000 Lm race car -work hard for win

still to try.
mazda6 touring car
lotus
any rally car

Yes, that is probably right, although , different races and fields will give different results. Look up Photonrider's thread about rabbit behaviour, as it gives great insite into the way the game develops and evolves for each player. Running 26-7 second laps put me in second every time behind the delta, and I only just managed the win with 23's over the same field. It is amazing the differences .

Kinda puzzled as to why you quoted me and my tune while promoting someone elses tune. Its as if you're slyly saying, "don't use his tune, use this one." I don't post tunes to gain any kind of popularity or win any kind of contests, but only to help people when they may be looking for a tune to try. The only reason I mentioned the RH tires in regards to my tune was because it was built using the SS tires. Slapping RH tires on my tune just doesn't feel right without making the adjustments for the stickier tire. Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but I just thought you quoting my post with no further reference as to why was kinda baffling. You could have just promoted the other tune without quoting me, I guess that's what I'm trying to say here.

Oh no, seems like I created a misunderstanding.
I simply quoted your post as u were reffering the S2000, actually that was the only reason.
I linked the other tune just to mention that my experiences and times had been made with that tune, never had the purpose to offen u.
I mentioned the RH tyres only because in the WRS TT one is only allowed to use SS and the tune I used was probabl made for this tyre setting. I only wanted to point out that the tune worked for me even with RH tyres.
I hope now things are a bit more clear.:)

Yes, assists on can promote some fairly reckless driving and quite insane speeds and I think while ratcheting up the game a notch it takes getting used to.
I myself use only ABS1, (together sometimes with TCS1) and have got so used to it (manual) that it feels quite unreal to play any other way; for instance I'm not worth a damn with the controller - if I go over to my nephews where they play only with controllers I'm toast, even with all controller aids on. However - because they are used to it, they are wizard.
Interesting info about noticing the AI rubberband when you had assists on. 👍

I very rarely use tuned cars - in fact, the only ones I have used so far have been the ones you shared with me on GT5 (and I must confess I was blown away by the sudden docility and responsiveness of the cars) - first try for me in this event was the 15th ann. stock Megane - grabbed 2nd, then had to leave the console - but I know I'm going to have an exciting time when I return to the track and fight for 1st before I turn this into a grinder.

All clear 👍, no problems at all. :) Thanks for making things clearer for my often feeble mind. Much appreciated.

Tough race for this Intermediate level event, won with the Delta S4 '85 in 4:56, catching the rabbit Delta S4 going around the Plaza de la Independencia , need to run 1:27 laps. I found the GT300 cars kind of sluggish.

Yup. Just tried it for the first time, the field I have is killing me and I am lapping in 1:26's.

Edit: Left, restarted, same car, was in second by the end of the second lap lol.

I adjust my gears so that I bounce of the rev limiter & start pinching down on the brakes(too lazy to shift for myself). Little Elise race cars seem to be a sure way to collect the credits. RX7s never lose, I haven't dug into the dusty part of the garage yet...
