If you want a fun challenge, use the Aryton Senna WSR detuned in this.

It doesn't really have the power to keep up with a couple of the cars in the straights, but turns so much better, it makes it fun. It's fairly easy to win, but you have to watch it a little as the other cars can bump you easily and they tend to slow down a LOT for turns compared to you so bumping into the rear of them is easy to do on accident.

Sounds like a fun idea. :)

what kind of suspension and diff settings are you running?

this car looks like a lot of fun. it's really funny to watch it fly by the pozzi camaro like it is standing still.

I did this second time with the Mazda Roadster Touring Car, admittedly the car needed tweaking at only 497pp. It's a ridiculously consistent and quick car that's difficult to unbalance and dares you to push a bit too hard....I was managing 1;21;3XX and low 1:22:XXX's on my fastest 3 laps. The Delta S4 was in the rear view most of the time for the last 2 laps the most I could pull forward was .851secs. No TCS no ASM ABS 1

I tried the '59 Corvette Concept race car and nearly nailed it but the extra speed I carried out of the final corner just wasn't enough to catch the S4. Fun car, plenty of (controllable) oversteer. I did get held up earlier so will try again, but sometimes the law of rubberbanding kinda dictates which cars just won't quite make it in the final moments.

Getting just a little tired of tuner cars (or at least most of them) not being allowed in these kind of races, despite half the field being made up of them. And they aren't allowed in "normal" car races either, so basically, can't be used in seasonals. Well played, PD :(

Ran this yesterday in a maxed-out Suzuki Cappuccino (EA21R) '95 Touring Car (485 PP) and had quite a bit of fun with it, running 1:24.xxx's on average and catching the "Rabbit" Lancia Delta S4 usually on the end of Lap 3/Start of Lap 4 and finishing ahead by little less than Half a second most of the time.

Running this race and seeing all of the "Tuner" cars (Art Morrison Corvette, HPA Motorsports Golf Etc. Etc.) makes me wish for a "Expert Tuning Car Seasonal" or something for them in the near future though...

Was getting low 1:20:XXXs lap 3 and 4 and a 1:19:137 on lap 5 the rabbit was a Peugeot 205 16V Turbo. I overtook him beginning of lap 3 but he was right up my bracket all the way to the finish. I used the FTO Super Touring Car, there is a few more secs I could have gained overall I think. Total lap time 7:11:xxx

Used the Audi S1 Rally Car 86 and the Ford RS200 Rally Car for the best Lap times of 1:16:8xx
Both with high front springs and stiff back springs ratio 25:75
Nissan Sylvia Touring Car went best with a 1:16:1xx
Mercedes AMG E 190 with low rear downforce went best with a 1:15:7xx

Very, very fun. Thanks for the suggestion:tup:

Used an Evo rally car for easy win, although the Delta rally was much quicker on the straight. Noticed a z28 race car and thought that might be fun. Wow, what a blast to trundle round the forest in. Pretty easy win, but was so much fun I had to do it a dozen times. Super cool, fun car. Hope we get a high PP muscle car seasonal soon to break it out again.

Ha ha yeah the touring cars like the black AMG 190 E EVO are unbeleivably quick even when tuned down  might try that later

 Right, I'm gonna have a go now with the Elise Race Car '96. If I gold within 3 attempts I've set myself a challenge - buy the Prius Hybrid and gold within 3 attempts without spending any money on tuning. I am expecting to do it with the Elise, the Prius not so sure....

:irked: Ok, did it in 5 coz I stacked it at turn 3(chicane exit) twice!! Best lap 1:22.771
....still gonna have a go with the Prius tomorrow!! :D

Tried this again with the Miata Racecar caught up with the S4 by end of lap 3 and it was a back forth battle from there but I was able to win. Ran about 1:23 on average. Before that I tried using the Ferrari GTO 250 but that car is just a wee bit to loosey goosey for me. I need to do some work on it to getting to where I want it to be.

 Forget the Prius - not sure anyone but The GT Gods themselves could pull that one off!
Anyway, decided to work my way through the 'recommended' touring cars under cr.150k. If nothing else it'll help me improve on tuning diversity and bank some credits, and I'm trying to beat my 1:22.771 lap record!!!:D

I finally managed to win this one using my Honda Civic Type R Touring Car equipped with Stage 2 Engine Tuning and RH tires. I caught up to the leading Audi Sport Quattro S1 rally car on the 4th lap, eventually overtaking it. After that, I had to hold off both the Sport Quattro S1 and a Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe for the win. The margin of victory was only about 0.332 seconds.

 Well done that man, for us mortals those 2 rabbits are quite tough, my 1st gold on this about the same - 0.3xx have just tried the Gazoo Racing Toyota 86. Fully tricked out tune wise (stage2 engine/mid-range turbo, racing exhaust etc.) I managed 3rd. Behind the usual suspects...

Just beat my personal best lap of 1:22.771 with this:
image.jpg
Stock settings, only my driving options changed from std, (AS strong, TCS1, ABS1, SRF off, and FF-MT/S 10) I'm actually quite pleased with myself as I have never achieved this before, normally have to change transmission settings at the very least!!!!
And silver at 1st attempt, absolutely 'out of the box' :D

:) Little bit of tuning and no credits spent got me gold and a new best lap:

Best lap was 2nd attempt, silver again, changed LSD to 10,30,20 and rear downforce to 350. For the 3rd attempt and gold I also adjusted transmissions final gear to 4.330 for a little acceleration boost.
Happy now till tomorrow and the new TT's!!

I see the AI in 6th, 7th and 8th had a very close race with itself, but somehow the 7th place Camaro beat the 8th place Calibra with a slower time? I thought this glitch only happened online because of ping time delay
I've noticed that a couple of times too (on different races versus AI). A car will have a slightly slower overall time, but a higher position in the standings. Odd.

ok finally did this one and it wasnt easy

here's the stupid thing... the N24 R35 was on pole and it only finished 3rd! i thought it was going to be the rabbit

i was using a detuned Dodge Challenger race car and it was hard going even though it had 360 odd hp

i only just overtook the leader on the last corner

Me too, simply use Ds3 with this small car Suzuki Cappuccino (EA21R) '95 Touring Car (485 PP) only brakes at the first corner for the whole track doing 1:22.** easily. You will lost on straight but 'slaughter' them on every corner! Lots of fun.
