My absolute fav track and I like lower PP race cars too. Delighted to see this appear last week ;)

Used a whole bunch of cars, couldn't stop replaying! Has anyone gotten below 1:16? Doing 16s with the Weds GT300 cars (Celica and IS200) but most average laps for me are 18s-19s without de-tuning. The Autobacs MR-S is great for this too.

Used the NSX LM Race car for a 1:15:7xx at the best lap, awesome car, check it out, I think the gt300 cars are a blast too.

Wow. For the heck of it, I ran three races in a row with the ARTA Garaiya '03. My last lap was always my fastest. In three races I managed fastest lap times of:

1:17.321
1:17.338
1:17.327

That's consistency! :D

To be honest, I don't know if I would benefit from adding or subtracting downforce, but this car was such an easy, smooth drive I guess it didn't really matter. 👍

Good laps. I had the same conundrum about downforce. In the end I decided more was better - if for no other reason than dealing with the traffic because you can fly around the outside of them. You could set your DF to minimum and that S4 would still catch you on the straight.. haha

I think carrying the speed through the fast left handers (before back straight, after tunnel, final turn) is where the downforce pays off. Apex speeds for me in those turns are about 90+mph, 105mph, 115mph in a good car. With low DF loose about 10mph in each case.

Can I check what track limits people are using in turn 3? I'm using WRS rules, 4 wheels off is a cut.

IE, these ones WRS post

Wondered if anyone was cutting like a GT4 OG :sly:

I've noticed that a couple of times too (on different races versus AI). A car will have a slightly slower overall time, but a higher position in the standings. Odd.
 Well I'll be 🤬.... Never even noticed. Says a lot really.....:boggled:

Just beat my personal best lap of 1:22.771 with this:

Stock settings, only my driving options changed from std, (AS strong, TCS1, ABS1, SRF off, and FF-MT/S 10) I'm actually quite pleased with myself as I have never achieved this before, normally have to change transmission settings at the very least!!!!
And silver at 1st attempt, absolutely 'out of the box' :D

If you're looking to break 1:20 laps the quickest cars I've found for this event are the Asparadrink RX-7 '06, Toyota Rally Raid, Acura NSX RM '91, and Spoon S2000 racer. All will easily do 1:18's, but the Asparadrink is by far the fastest for me, even broke into the 1:15's a few times with it. 6:55:2x was my best total. ABS 1, TC 1, everything else off using DS3

As for downforce, I also found more = faster for this track. I'd lose a couple mph on the straight but barely had to let off the accel around the bends. All of my best times were with full downforce, no turbo, and the highest possible torque (without turbo). That might just be my driving style, IDK

Really enjoyed this one, with the RX7 GT300 Base Model. Thought I was in for easy win as I gained first place on lap 2, however the rubber band force was strong with the RSC Rally Raid car and I had to keep my wits about me. I was being taken on the S/F straight, but made sure I really made the most of the downforce on the final lap to get well ahead for the win.

thing is the two rabbits, the lancia delta s4 and audi quattro s1 rally cars are rated at pp 540+ so of course, they hose you on the straights

but i'm having a lot of fun with the various gt300 class japanese cars

you need consistent sub 1.25s to win

We use Ford Focus Rally Car '99 for this event in absolutely stock no AIDS with my new G27 wheel, it was amazing fight. In last last in last corner we pass Audi Quattro in became First, our best lap time on this car was 1:22:630. The Deep Forest it is Perfect Racetrack remind me my state Virginia and it is nice imitation of real raceway here.
I love this car because this car transfer me through all series of Gran Turismo games. In this raceway this Focus drive like RWD not like AWD, because without AIDS... this car still looks nice, isn't it?

:banghead: Same here, been at it for days and my best gap is 0.445!

I changed the transmission settings, suspension etc. It makes no difference. Once I pass the lead car either on lap 3 or 4, I can beat him up to the first timing mark by 1.2 or so seconds then he nips at my heels up the uphill section and I pull away again in the descent and final corner until the straight to the finish. I've probably raced it 10 times now. Haven't lost yet, but can't pull away a good margin. I broke 1:17 the other day. Makes no difference.

Just one hour before the event ended tried XSARA '99 and I was very impressed.
The car was very obedient and extremely stable on the track.
Each round total win, best lap 7:00:215
