I was starting the 4 hour endurance race, A-spec and lapped everyone. Unhappy mom came over and asked me to surrender the TV to her and help clean the carpet and take down the Xmas tree. Perfect time! I did everyone would do -- put it in B-spec, switch the channel, and started cleaning up.

I took my time and after 2 and half hour later, I started to take down the tree next to the TV. My PS2 was under the tree and in the way. I gently pushed it out of the way so I won't accidentally drop the tree on it and interrupt my long running race. And guess what area I gently pushed on? The reset button!!!!!!!!

:ouch:

start over!

The nice pretty little green light that tends to glow when the PS2 is turned on should really have been enough warning...

I'll leave that one for now.

Dark Elite and Rayquaza: Do either of you even realize you were just unnecessarily rude to someone you don't know who just happened to make a mistake and wanted a little sympathy?

Don't tell me the two of you have never made a silly, or even stupid, mistake...

I have, but are you saying it's smart to make a mistake?
I know it has to be very annoying for him, and i wouldn't like to have something like that happened to me.

Well, be happy it was noly a 4hour endurance, tahts a short time and you can put Bob drive it while your in shop/school/out with friends etc.Not like the worlds going to end.

It´d be different if you were on the last lap of the Nurb 24h

I don't think hes saying its smart to make mistakes, he means that everyone does it.

Anyway, bad luck Lightfox. Look on the brightside though, you can make that particular race into a good one if you select a good car to match the line-up!

If you don't want snide comments (I wouldn't go quite so far as 'unnecessarily rude'), then don't post threads devoted to your own mistakes. ;)

I was in a 24hr race, paused the game for work.

Came home to find the power had gone off!
Everyone should use a UPS with their console nowadays. They are not expensive and they do their job well. Anyone with a PS3 would be especially foolish not to use one, too.

Not long ago, I talked MissGT into doing some more GT4 content and when she went to the stack of PS2s, she turned my console off instead of turning hers on. This was just shy of the 3 hour mark in the 4 hour Tsukuba endurance race. The USP couldn't handle that one, I'm afraid.

Cheers,

MasterGT

Yes, a UPS is a good idea.

I only add my experence just to say S*** happens. No beg deal.
That is what make life interesting. No mater what you do, something always happens.

Besides, restarting a race isn't that bad. I am almost through GT4 the second time. When I finish it, I start from the biginning again.

I like to race.
