Same. I can't see where they will go with it after LokSat's identity is revealed. The entire storyline has felt like a retcon designed to bring Castle's disappearance into the Bracken story, and while it has been handled well, it's still a retcon.
I'm thinking more about the series-long narrative - everything has always come back to the Bracken/Johanna Beckett storyline. LokSat is a continuation of that, a powerbroker with a vested interest in getting Bracken into the White House - but they can't introduce someone with a similar set-up as a means of continuing the story. They probably gonna revovle more around the english detective (sry I'm bad with name) and developped a bit more Alexis's role while avenging Beckett death.
It's usually pretty difficult for actors to schedule major projects around ongoing television series, especially one like "Castle" which does a lot of on-location work.I feel like Nathan Fillion needs to move on to more things. His non-Castle work the past few years have been unseen cameos and an Internet-only Kickstarter project.
I think a lot of people were. Once Bracken was caught, the attempts to continue the story felt forced. Still, it was good to see Fillion attached to a long-term project for one.I was getting Castle burn out.
I think Whedon is pretty jaded when it comes to television. "Firefly" was treated poorly by the network, and I don't think they had any faith in "Dollhouse" (which had potential, but also had problems). Now that Whedon is finished with Avengers he might have an upcoming role that Fillion could fill.
We can only hope, but it's been fifteen years. I think that ship has sailed. If ever there was a return, I imagine that it would be with a new cast and a new ship in the same universe....Dare to dream a Firefly resurgence?
I don't see why this would prevent him from working with Fillion again. Fillion is under no known contract after this season. Movies, TV, doesn't matter. And the two clearly enjoy working together.I think Whedon is pretty jaded when it comes to television.
Oh, they certainly do - when Whedon made Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, Fillion agreed to join the cast without even asking what the project was. But I don't think Whedon will go back to television any time soon, and I don't know of any film projects that he has in the works.I don't see why this would prevent him from working with Fillion again. You know he's in Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 2, right?I could see him being picked up for a Marvel film with his connections to at least two of the more popular directors.
Did they have a choice?
Last episode. No more time to tell the story. Either conclude it quickly or leave it unsolved.
