Have a link? The VW, and Pontiac. Thanks

Let me clarify that some cars, I adapted to GT4 class some time ago, due to lack of a good quantity field of them.

Both Pontiac (GTO and Solsctice), are from Asseto Garage.
VW Scirocco have one with 300bhp in a STCC class the other with 365bhp (GT4), can't remember, but it was adapted from VLN cars.

Then, I have more two with 500bhp in the GT3 class.

If you can't find them, I can upload the folders here.

Cheers

This track looks awesome, is there a link somewhere?

Yep, Content Manager updates every other day now. Check here for the latest version and what's changed.

CM resetted some files yesterday. Suddenly I lost my Origin Icons (bar a few). I had to DL them from RD and placed them now in another folder:

c:\Users\your_name\AppData\Local\AcTools Content Manager\Data (User)\Origin Icons\

I had them in data (without USER) before and they got wiped. Hopefully CM leaves this folder unharmed ?

Yep i had them there and lost them a couple of times so I put them in data (user) folder and they won't get updated/removed now. Thanks to @slider666 for that tip

The CM update something new i noticed which is great, is that the race grid preset of similar bhp can now be sorted for just kunos cars, so great for getting CPU friendly AI grids etc.
Other options for sorting grids by bhp and p/w ratio.

Word of warning to anyone who is gonna try this PPfilter https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/ned4tg-ppfilter.31263/

Be careful as the latest update contains files that WILL overwrite your sol config and mess a few things up. I was having all sorts of issues yesterday with black screens when changing ppfilter and a few other problems. Managed to remove it all by updating SOL to the latest Beta (thanks to @Jerry60 for the post about the newest beta)

User doesn't get molested I believe. I assume Content Manager has to read both of these folders in order for both to work. I have your origin icons put in both folders actually, that's probably why it still works.

I have an icon for you by the way, really cool thing you did here to quickly identify creators of mods. I know I don't have a lot of content that is out in the public but on my own AC, it seems 50% of the time I have to tinker with the data and I put "Reworked by Beezer" in the author section and I can see right away in the car list if I've worked on the car or not. Helps immensely seeing if I already dug into that model. Every time you update I add the code in the list.json.

I wish my CM would update as it seems to be stuck on V36095 - it even says here https://acstuff.ru/f/d/10-content-manager-detailed-changelog/239 that 0.8.2078.36250 is the latest version. Im confused (again)

EDIT: It's ok I found it at the Github.

Gotta jump through a tonne of hoops to get ACF tracks now. They're using a thing called DC++ which is great if you can get it working but I think everyone is having problems.
Ahhh yes i did read about that in this thread before, don't get what's the problem with sharing tracks in the traditional way. Where can i find more info about it to try make it work?

It's a shame, their tracks are pretty good. But I avoid that thing like I avoid Baidu.
What ends up happening is that the content gets leaked in certain places.
This in turn makes the creators pissed and then they want to lock it away even further and it creates a cycle.
People end up with the content and then the modders (even though they may be great people) come out looking like grumpy stooges.
This just played out recently with a group that currently changed this practice right here in these forums and changed their outlook.
Good for them. Thanks. I think the support you get outweighs the ability to lock your content away from everybody. In the end what does it matter when you can't share the smile with someone else?

Saludos [/ CITA]

Getting in to ACF's DC-hub is literally a two minute job following the instructions. My two minutes did not go to waste as I've scored some good content there. It's not the worst idea to have a DC-hub for sharing AC mods IMO. Not saying it's the best idea either... On an average day the hub is very silent.

That HS Ring is anyway nowhere to be found. Most ACF's new tracks seems to be WIP anyway...

Agreed.
Even Florian's and Velo models seems to be better. But I will keep this one too. 👍

This is not new, I do that for a long time.

ACF had stated he wanted to host his files through TrippTeam on DC++ to support them, well this was posted a week ago on TT FaceBook:

"TrippTeam
13 March at 14:46 ·
Today 13/3 have i shut down
HFS site and DC ++ and shall NOT host files from my server pc Online
I have stopped host simracing files online to the Simracing Community
"

It it still active as of now, but I assume he will be pulling the plug any minute. Perhaps ACF will just go back to linking directly from YouTube?

Just a small request but I'd really like to see the GT4 Genesis tune on some higher-end hardware in a video doing a race or something with it. By higher-end I mean pretty much any sort of gaming PC at all, really. My setup is quite limited, let's just say that. I have 2006-style graphics over here.

I'd take the file over to my friend's setup and play around with it there, but self quarantining and all that.

Not super important, but it would be appreciated.

Sharing a mod? Host it on GTPlanet Downloads. Free, public hosting for files up to 10GB in size.
