Getting in to ACF's DC-hub is literally a two minute job following the instructions. My two minutes did not go to waste as I've scored some good content there. It's not the worst idea to have a DC-hub for sharing AC mods IMO. Not saying it's the best idea either... On an average day the hub is very silent.

I've been trying to get on this server for nearly 2 weeks and I always get a connection timeout. What address are you using to connect?

Hello. I have a problem. The game crashes at the loading screen with certain cars, for example Guerilla's Supra GT4 or Nicolas Devoto Corvette C8.

Here is the crash log :

Please help ?

Bad news. Very few of the so-called 'GT4' cars referenced above are 'legal' GT4 cars. That is, they don't conform to the GT4-class rules (fixed gear ratios, aero settings and tire types, etc.). For example, the Jaguar XE SV is actually a police car, the Cadillac CTS-V is a GT3 car and the Camaro appears to be a Corvette C6.r with Camaro F-body sheet metal. Thus far the Guerilla/Rollovers cars appear to be the only legit GT4 cars (with a few exceptions, most of which are either too fast or too slow, i.e., not BoP'ed). The GT4s would be a great online class if it ever got its act together.

Bodywork and Interior finished: Check
Physics and BOPed: Check
Extensions (Lumirank etc) added: Check
GT4 Tyres: Check
Sound: Check (Maybe?)
Engine BOPed: Instead of the original 660 bhp the power is now around 400 bhp
BOP is about a Porsche GT4

Skins: 2 at the moment
- Plain red
- This skin in the photos above
Should I add more skins?

So this car is almost finished, but it still needs a bit testing and LODs :)
Really appreciate this new GT4 addition for AC, always glad to see new cars in this race class being made. Perhaps we could have more of them in the future such as ones from GT SPORT

Will the 488 GT4 mod be compatible with skins from the base 488 GTB? There are some nice ones I'd like to bring over from the road car and use on this once it gets released. For example this Racedepartment 488.

So I decided to fiddle a bit with the Toyota GT-One as I was a bit annoyed with the height to the floor not being accurate with the real thing.
At first I started modifying the graphical offset but ended up realizing something was wrong with the tyres' sizes. Entered the tyre.ini and voilà! They were wrong.
I simply put the real car tyre dimensions, change the graphic offset to adjust it a couple millimiters down and went from this:

It is noticeable in the front of the car, closer to the ground like the real car. So if anyone is interested I can share my data.acd file (if that is allowed of course)

Just a small request but I'd really like to see the GT4 Genesis tune on some higher-end hardware in a video doing a race or something with it. By higher-end I mean pretty much any sort of gaming PC at all, really. My setup is quite limited, let's just say that. I have 2006-style graphics over here.

I'd take the file over to my friend's setup and play around with it there, but self quarantining and all that.

Not super important, but it would be appreciated.
Just did a quick two lap race against eleven different GT4's with the Genesis. Hope this is want you want to see? Otherwise feel free to ask and I will upload another video. Also two others in the video thread.

Remark: for some reason a huge FPS (68 --> 33) drop and this is also noticable in this video. Also the loading time for each car increased with seconds. I assume because of recent CM update or another PC system update? Not sure. Have to test this.

Thanks mate, it will be very helpfull!

I need advice, I will release some cars, only road version for the moment, and I have done a little type of ReadMe,
Is it okay for you or should I make something else?

RedBull Ring 2011 will follow in the day aswell, with Extended pits for the 4 version, 2 vanilla and the 2 2011, 40 pits.
All will be included to have it

I think we are all very interested!!
This car is a beauty and she deserve the bestversion possible

Since I first drove on Ascari race track in GT5, I always loved this magnificent race track. We have a version in AC, 'ascariraceresort', the layout and elevation are fine but it looks rough, which is a shame.
I am hoping that maybe a new skin, could be done by some one. The video lap attached shows what it looks like and also where the cones for apex, etc... are located. A lot of attention have been given to much lesser tracks when this outstanding track has been forgotten, now is the time to fix this injustice.

Question: How turn off only sound of wipers when i make a race wet?

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\extension\sfx
remove
event:/extension_common/rain_car_ext (sorry that is for the rain)
in GUIDs.txt
remove any event:/extension_common/wiper, for wiper sound to go away.

If at all possible and if it is not too much to ask, when you have a minute, could you let us know what you did to those cars that could entice us to re-download them.
re-downloading the same material ad nauseam seems to be all I am doing lately, not complaining, just sharing a feeling.

On a different subject, yesterday the peak of player for AC was 6,847, I think it is an amazing accomplishment, and also that it is a tribute to the relentless efforts from a lot of user work and contribution, some of them are regulars here. Thank you for all your efforts in making AC a better SIM.

Also the annoying water splash sounds can be removed easily with this workaround but remember, it will always be overwritten once the CSP gets an update.

Henlo everybody, finally here on GTP!

i'm the guy who makes baseline reworks of cars and posts them on RD

@Xavi_CR, you did quite a good job with the graphical rework of Virtua Simulazioni's TS020 but: can you take it a step further?
the car revs up to 6000 rpm and the rev LEDs in the dashboard look not in sync; can you (or anyone) fix it?

Haha I'll see what I can do!
I'm really not an expert on modding but I'll try to see if I can do it. Right now I was trying to fix performance, as it is arguably much faster than his GT1 counterparts (CLK GTR, Porsche GT1 '98, Mclaren F1)

In the CSP config file assettocorsa\extension\config\cars\loaded or in car folder -> "extension" folder ext_config.ini you can add these lines :

[AUDIO_VOLUME]
RAIN_EXT=1.0
RAIN_INT=0.8
WIPER_EXT=0.8
WIPER_INT=0.6

In the ext_config.ini of the M3 GT2 there is other audio volume lines.

I have a feeling I can't post a direct link to this, but TrippTeam has shut down its server and is no longer hosting simracing files:

"Today 13/3 have i shut down

HFS site and DC ++ and shall NOT host files from my server pc Online

I have stopped host simracing files online to the Simracing Community"

Sad to see this happen, it was a great resource for the racing community. Many thanks to Tripp for for his efforts in assisting simracers with his great server.
