IF you do.Airbags in a license test wut? When was the last time you had to crash to get certified?

I'm not even going to bother. Haven't you played Gran Turismo in the past 15 years? Road cars? Accidentally going off the track and hitting a wall? Does it ring a bell?Who crashes during a license test? Especially and hard enough to require airbags? Especially in racing certification, there a roll cage and harness are safer and recommended.
SimonKStill doesn't explain what it would add to the game. If you crash in a license test or even know you're about to you hit restart and go again. I don't need to sit and watch an animation of an airbag going off, it's pointless. It adds nothing to the gaming experience.
ToronadoI propose we hijack the thread and talk about that instead.
ToronadoMap it to the right stick, so you could do that thing where you kinda crawl along on two wheels diagonally.

They should also add steering wheel locks when your car is turned off, and you would struggle for a bit, but if you get a sequence of buttons down correctly the character figures out how to unlock it. This would be as real as it gets for some people.
To add to the realism subject, your character should be able to get mild/severe concussions depending on the type of accident it is. If the concussion is so severe they should be hauled away in an ambulance. Upon arriving at the hospital they should give you a diagnosis of the problem. If its not so bad, simple pain killers should work, if its really bad then they should tell you that you'll never race again.. Let alone walk. Fade out to black screen, and "game over" appears.. Thus forcing you to start over from scratch as a different character.
What's the point of airbags?
ZohsixGT5If GT6 has airbags, I'll have to add one to my G27 to maximize the realism.

Hell, it could even be a signature thing for GT6
Cars should need an oil change, because all millionaires that own hundreds of cars do it themselves. They do it by pressing "A" on his tv remote controller.
There's nothing more fun than having to magically restore chassis and engine of all cars. It only takes 10 hours (real time) to do it for all of your cars, and have to repeat the process from time to time.
Wasting exactly one minute to 'buy' one car gives you a sense of ownership, that makes the game much more entertaining. Also having most cars available in arcade mode is so western: the japanese way is better, in which there's only 5% and the rest have to be obtained by enduring annoyances, just like in real life.
Not being able to select a new car in-game is realistic (offline). It gives the player the sensation of having to go back to his garage to get each new car instead of having all of them flown to a track at the same time.
These topics are the result of zero news from PD or Sony.
HeiTalking about your own post is sad.
Where are the mods when you need them? Soon you will see "Rainbow Road should be in GT6!" or something similar...
I loved the 4 hours of Tsukuba.

CorvetteConquerWell said, CorvetteConquer. 👍
liampage123I have not seen this idea on the forms yet, or in ANY racing game.
It would add a lot of realism to the game, let me know your thoughts before this thread will likely be closed.
Sadly, as Slip said, this might be precisely the reason why PD might add it to GT6, though the chances are unlikely.Airbags are a horrible idea that nobody would enjoy, so they would be a waste of development resources. Seriously, nobody would give half a fart about airbags. It would stand as a shining example of PD's gross incompetence and utter lack of understanding of what makes a good game.
