This doesn't start until next week.

The Opel race program manager has chosen to switch drivers with it's sister program Vauxhall. The switch comes as a surprise to most but very welcome for driver DA6. Mike46 had some issues with the Vauxhall and as such, the Opel is anticipated to be a change in the right direction. DA6 is still entered as a privateer despite full factory backing due to the race organizers rule book. Talks are almost complete with potential driver #2, redrobin. Testing next week will determine if the spot will be filled and full factory participation will occur this season for Vauxhall. The Vauxhall team manager was in line with the decision and anticipates a two driver representation. Allin was not available for comment.

ADTCS (Addicts) race organizers announced today that the season will be postponed. After close inspection of Nurburgring GP/D they were not satisfied with the course conditions of the last chicane. They felt that at an impact with the safety wall at the normal speed driven through that section, would result in injuries based on the dated construction of safety walls and lack of safety barriers. Track owners were not upset about the last minute request to update this section of the course and bring it up to minimum standards. "We are currently working on updating the safety walls of the last chicane and are confident that the safety standards will exceed minimum requirements after installation of safety barriers", said Nurburgring spokesperson Pavel Chekov.

Operations Engineer, Montgomery Scott, anticipates the updates to be completed in 5 days. Of Nurburgring, "A fine track - a credit to her name. But I've always found that a track is only as good as the engineer who takes care of her. And from what I can see, the chicane is in good hands. She will be completed on time".

ADTCS organizers announce May 3rd as the official race season start date at GP/D. Will this help some drivers get settled in with their new teams or will the anticipation and postponement increase nerves and cause driver fatigue? Race day will tell.

Thanks for the update. I'll notify our team of the delay. Most had left today for Germany though. This will however add an additional week to the crew's Biergarten tour.

Looks like I need to get another OGR race in the works. Please pm me or post to the OGR thread any suggestions. Due to the short notice it will most likely be a one make race.

Earlier today on a flight to Germany, Team BMW TORQUE UNLIMITED's driver E'Fortysix Envy (who suffers frequently from severe verbal diarrhea) was overheard saying "What? Are you F'n kidding me? They postponed the F'n race a week??? Now what the F am I supposed to do in Germany for an extra week????....what? they have beer?? Ssssswwwwweeeeeeeettttttttt!!! Stewardess, another round of F'n drinks!!!! NOW!!!!!". Meanwhile E'Fortysix's team mate NeCee Aree was rumored to request a pair of headsets so he could mask the sound of his team mates antics with the sound track of the hideous in flight movie "Sleepless in Seattle".

I propose a drivers meeting in a German bar. German beer is good stuff.

Hopefully this group of idle drivers doesn't get to wild in the Duecsheland.

Check out the OGR thread for the regulations for this weeks fill in race. All racers signed up for this series are welcome to attend

Looks like I'm going to be out of action for a while. My blue ray drive isn't functioning and won't even eject my gt5 disc.

What generation ps3? I just bought a used original ps3 that suffered the ylod but the b r drive and power supply are still good. I'm always looking to help out fellow racers.

Turn off the switch in the back. Hold the eject button. Flip the switch on then turn it on all the way with the standby button. Keep holding the eject button the entire time. It should rev up real crazy, like super crazy RPM's, it will stop and the disk should shoot out.

There is no power switch in the back on the slims. Not sure if that trick works on the slim, worth a shot though.

On the slims, you can plug in the power cord while pressing both the eject and standby buttons. It went into the high rev mode, but did not eject. On the slims, there's also a hidden, little crank, on the bottom, that can be turned with a phillps head. This should slowly eject the disk. It did not. When my last blue ray drive died, I had a repair outfit replace it. They probably used a different drive than the original making these tricks ineffective. I'm probably going to have to bite the bullet and buy a new ps3 and do a data transfer.

I've swapped playstation guts before, it's kind of fun. If buying is an option maybe just open yours up and try to eject the disk. This way you can say you gave it a shot.

You can always use the road or a drop out of window to get the disc out logan these new systems are POS i can still hook up the old 16 bit nitendo and it still works with a blow or little wiggle of the cartridge
