mmm sorry for stating how I feel, maybe I should have said I won't be much of a factor in this race..
right now I am 3-5 seconds a lap slower than most everyone else. However I did manage to break into the 1:28's and made my tires last 6 laps!

Don't worry there's still time, all you need to do is drive around the track 200 times and you'll shave those seconds right off .

Don't get discouraged Scorp, just have fun with it. Here is the tune I'm running, not sure if it will work for you, but I'm getting high 24's/low 25's and can easily do a 1 stop on soft tires. Give it a try.

LSD 8/10/20
RH -15 -15
Spring 16.5 16.5
Damper 9 7
Damper 7 6
ARB 6 6
Camb 1.8 1.0
Toe -.05 -.15
Brakes 7/6
Trans is set for 172mph.
I moved my ballast to get 50/50 weight distribution.

The brake bias and LSD decell may not work for you, I started running them like that when I got my CSP pedals. You can go a little more aggressive with LSD for better times, but I'm playing it safe.

I think the main problem tonight is not going to be lap times or tire wear, it's going to be the grid start with heavy damage. When you factor that in with it being a sprint race, it's a pretty sure bet that damage will be the main factor in these races.

Ahhh...the potential is unleashed.

and yes, let's mix it up this season boys.

That seems to be the desired result.

I'm assuming it will be fun, frustrating and annoying at times. I'm here for the fun that series bring to the table. What happens will happen. Just hoping the steam rolling will be limited.

Nicely said.

Rolling starts are fun. But...I think, just think now, that we as a group have kind of forgotten how to study and learn who we are competing against.

So I place in qualifying, let's say 6th. Rolling start. When the race starts I know I can't push, I blow tires. So I settle. Why? Mentally I tell myself the fast guys are up front, even if I do close I'll be on worn tires, and then....they will just pull reserve anyway and push. So I will just settle for keeping my qualifying pace for as long as I can and hope that some other reason will allow me to get in the race. Like an out of sequence pit or driver error.

I kind of miss our bunched up, have to blip the brakes 20 million times, hit the gas 20 million times in an attempt to keep my spot trying not hit someone in a tight turn. You guys remember the Camaro RM race at GP/F.? I recall all of those practice sprints and race day being pure fun. Grid starts.

I'm not sure what will happen. Maybe we will have to change the racing outline of things don't go well. But for now let's look at things how red pointed out and give it a shot.

Cars are level. Tracks are varied. Work it. Who knows.

I plan on approaching this series the same that I do all the others..... practice as much as possible, go like hell in qualifying, race clean and accept my results. My only win came because of pit strategy. I wasn't the fastest but it worked out that way. The damage will be another "great equalizer" in this series. In the past I have witnessed some numb nut performing a dive bomb on the first lap and taking some of us out. With damage that will change the results of the race dramatically. Although I've been running low 24's in practice (yes I had tire wear on) I still don't expect to win. That's just my luck....... but I'm going to have fun!

Patience is key when it comes to grid starts. The main problem are the cars a bit deeper in the pack that launch off the line nicely and receive a bit of help with the slipstream. Hard to lay back with such i nice launch. But sometimes biting off more then they probably should by trying to pass 5 cars before the first turn is a big no no. Then everyone remembers their on cold tires and all hell brakes loose!

Patience, not going the win the race in turn 1 of the first lap. Should be interesting 👍

Team Torque Unlimited's body man laid a verbal beat down on NCR after his post lunch turn 1 antics. "Lay off the saurbraten before ya get behind the wheel again!" The M3 will spend the rest of the day getting hammered out, thankfully the backup car is available

I though I saw a post about the qualifying order changing from what it was in the OP or did I imagine that?

nvm found it

Roadrash will be acting league president until further notice as I will not have much time to focus on the league this week. First race will be this Thursday. 2 rounds. Read OP. Roadrash can run any procedure he thinks is necessary and make any changes to any aspect of league design and lobby setup.

Mercedes and A4's qualify 1st because of kg's.
BMW and TT-R's 2nd.
Opel and Vaux last.

If my TT was going to spend the rest of the day getting hammered out, I would have been out getting hammered. German bier.

OP updated with car order. My last post concerning the order is wrong. As such because of weight restrictions.

-Mercedes Teams and Audi TT-R Teams will enter first and qualify for 5-7 minutes depending on track.
-Next BMW and Vauxhall.
-Next Opel and Audi A4 Teams.

Good races tonight guys. Full damage definitely adds an entire new level of intensity. Half the time scared I'm gonna hit someone and the other half scared they will hit me.

Good races guys. Damage got me in the 2nd race. Thought the lapped car was letting me by....guess not!
