Is there anything good about GT6? I've heard a lot of complaints with it lol
Mine is headed back to Gamestop. My wheel has been packed up for a week.
My major complaints:
1. Inconsistant physics and car handeling
2. PD lying to us promising game fixes and DLC. Instead the put in some gps something or other
3. Tire screeching like a stuck pig especially after a pit stop/2nd set of tires with less grip and faster tire wear that is never the same way twice

I have many more issues with the game but those I could have lived with. This game should have been DLC and GT6 should have released next gen with all the promises in place.

I guess we should have known better, pd doesnt have the best track record. Seems like this version was released a year too early. It sucks because they could have just kept giving DLC on GT5. And it sucks because i miss racing with eveyone. I might give iracing a try, but i do like GTs selection of cars.

Come on over to iracing bud the competition is amazing. Im running in some fixed setup oval series on Monday and Tuesday and running NASCAR series stuff the rest of the weeks.

Project Cars demos a driving game that's more real than real life

Video games are becoming more realistic, and while racing titles such as Forza and Gran Turismo do a good job of creating pretty graphics, there's no doubt that what you are seeing remains computer-generated. The hardiest of hardcore race fans use iRacing for their basement-driving fix, and while the physics are incredibly life-like (something entirely lacking in Forza or GT) the visuals are not groundbreaking — which is fine, because in iRacing, it's all about the physics.
But what if one could nail the physics and blend that with graphics that, somehow, appear crisper and better defined than real life? Come this November, that may become a reality, as Project Cars races to stores.

We've seen clips and screenshots from Project Cars — set to debut on PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Wii U — for a while now, and it's gradually earned the title as the most hotly anticipated racing sim in some time. But its latest commercial appears to have taken it to a new level, with viewers wowed by graphics that seem more life-like than, say, life itself. Check the comparison video below to see what I mean:

In the same way high dynamic range images have revolutionized photography, allowing one to take the exact shot multiple times at different exposures and then stitch those images together to produce a final picture that contains incredible depths of detail, Project Cars handily out performs footage from an onboard camera by employing similar techniques. The details in the hills, the tarmac, the clouds mimic precisely what the eye sees, and it's not washed out like on camera.

How many events have we been to where what we saw in reality didn't match what showed up on film? Having driven at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca many times, what you see in Project Cars is what it's actually like: At the fabled Corkscrew, for example, there's a tree directly in front of you as you turn into the tight left-hander before the downhill right. You aim for this tree, as you know that by doing so you will be on the right line over the crest. In the video, you don't see that tree, but in the game, it's evident – just as it is in reality.

Project Cars will probably make race fans fatter, lazier and more divorced than ever, but after this latest clip, it's hard to care. November can't come soon enough.

OK BK, when I check the iracing requirements for mac book pro (I have a mid 2010 mac book pro 13), it says you need minimum of Intel HD 4000, mine has NVIDIA GeForce 320M. Do you know if this is better, worse or equal to the Intel requirement? Believe it or not but I used to build all my computers myself, but its been like 6-7 years since I built one and I have no clue about the parts.

My understanding is that they are on par with one another. But the 4000 may be a bit better. You can pay like $7 on a month membership to test it out. You may have to turn off shadows.

Check this link out http://insidesimracing.tv/forums/topic/2779-iracing-on-mac/

iRacing discounts. All options may not be available. They have 1 month for $5. Can't beat that to give the game a test run. If you don't like or system isn't able to play....not a big loss.

They're very similar. Neither has built in VRAM, it's all shared from the motherboard. I'm sure it will work, like Red said just reduce some of the graphic settings. I use a Dell latitude laptop with i7 and NVIDIA NVS5200m to run three monitors and it does great.

Intel HD 4000 graphics is an integrated graphics chip. Which means its built into the CPU because it only needs to handle basic task for the normal user i.e. not gaming processes. If iRacing only needs that to run at the lowest settings you will be fine. The 320M will run iRacing fine at a med setting full resolution.

iRacing hasn't really improved in graphics since its release in 2008.

I know nothing about running games on macs though.

Audi Fail to finish WEC Round 1 at Silverstone.

Toyota 1-2

Was the best 1 hour of racing I've seen , great start , the Audi 's we're rubbish in the rain . Porsche thought a low down force set up would be best . Maybe that's all they got

p.s. Good with the 8gb ram option is all you needs yo!

That's funny , that whole race is pretty good actually , the new bentlys are sweet

Having a bad week? It could always be worse.

Last week I my car was rear ended, i still dont even want to talk about it. Insurance totaled it out and took it yesterday - not before I stripped every part I could from it.

Too much damage to fix, both rear quarters were ruined, left rear pass was wrinkled, truck, taillights, exhaust, the rear subframe and the chassis itself was suspected to be damaged as well. Just too much for a 12 year old car :(

So whats next, if I have to make payments on a car again might as well go all in.

Leaning towards a 2011+ B8 Audi A4 220hp or 2009-2010 BMW 335i 300hp
A4 makes ~280 hp on stage 2 tune XD - Dont like interior of the Bimmers

Possible choices
Subaru WRX / STi
B7 S4 - poor poor fuel economy, That V8 sounds angry all the time / 340 HP :D

Ruled out
Mitsubishi evo 9 / 10 - Interior is junk but fastest car I can afford.
B7 A4 - Owned a b6 not worth the money for the same chassis and a bad 2.0t engine / all my parts bolt on
BMW 328 - Dont really like interior / slow
