Jon.
I have to ask, what's everyone's method for adding borders?

I do it by making the images smaller, then increasing the canvas size and selecting black as the extension colour.

After resizing it to maybe 100x100 or 110x110 I "Select All" then select stroke.

2 pixel white
1 pixel black

that's it.

Oh ok :)

By the way, the black letterbox lines in my current one are intentional
I guess if I had a widescreen monitor they wouldn't be there?...

I'll try that. Are you using PhotoShop?

I use photoshop to make avatars. I just shrink, or stretch the whole image to be 2 or 3 pixels below what I want, and then I increase the canvas size 2 or 3 pixels, depending on the size of the image.

After reading your guy's methods, I feel stupid. I just use a 2 pixel and go down each side using the shift key to get it straight.

How do you convert a bitmap file to a JPG or whatever works on here.

Open the file with Microsoft Photo Editor and save as a JPG file.

Like I posted in the convo thread, she makes me re-think my previous leanings towards equal or rear-biased weight distribution, thats for damn sure!

As the festive season is approaching. Could anyone put a santa hat on the dog in my avatar?
