It's interesting that the notice "Installing..." appears in every menu in the lower right corner. Does that mean, that the game installs data menu per menu and the next time you open it it loads faster? That would be a great and innovative idea IMO!

Oh, and I forgot, no racing brakes!
This is incredible. In real life brakes are the second thing after sport tyres and before sport suspensions that usually get modified/improved for higher performance.
So, again, no brake fading simulated in GT? And if it is, no way to decrease it?

EDIT: no brake balance controller either. Maybe it's installed as default on all cars?

I dont think he has the GT data installed on his HDD.

The brakes are always the second part I upgrade after tyres. It seems I cant do this in GT5. I hope I am wrong though.

Did Kaz have a brain fart and just forgot to add it?

Allow me to explain better.

Displacement up - Port Polishing - Engine Balance are gone.
Engine tuning basically has been reduced to a somewhat arcadey Level 1-2-3.
Stage/Level 4 modifications are gone, and so intercooler selection
Racing clutches and flywheels are no more.
Only three softness levels for racing tyres.

On the other side, air filter selection (sport and semi racing), sport intake and exhaust manifolds and sport catalyzers have been added.

I'm disappointed that modifications appear to be more generic than before, with less technicalities to appeal to a broader public. Even though after four games the descriptions got old, new users could still learn something from them.

To be honest, I was expecting more detailed engine tuning, not more generic.
I guess I was expecting too much?

Now let's wait for the parts set-up screen...

Yeah, thank you.

So you can do more stuff to your car, but you are disappointed that the descriptions of said parts are shorter? :ouch:

Besides lightweight windows and individually installed hood, as opposed to being part of stage 1 before, 6spd upgrade, there is nothing new.
I'll patiently wait for the premium GT AUTO video.

OK, wait a minute. Can we assume for a second that system has actually evolved?

In short, maybe not all processes are available for all cars?

Everything's a lot cheaper. Full Turbo Charger for only 20,000? in GT4 the full turbo cost 80-90,000cr. Awesomeness!

Maybe only for Civic, prices could also be model-specific.

No brakes :embarrassed:, I can see a release date patch to fix that least I hope so, I mean brakes are very important things they stop you hitting that big tree infront of you and being killed to death in a fiery and painful way, Why cant we upgrade them so we can brake later and harder into corners also adding brake balance adjustment :(

If that was the case, wouldn't it of just been easier to do it like they use to? still have a tab for it, like "brakes" and when you go to upgrade an item that's not available just have it say CR 0 ------- like it did before? would of just saved a bunch of time to have 1 screen option for all cars, If that is the case however, standards really did have to have a whole different involvement in GT to where literally everything except the ability to drive together is done together.

Edit, or that may be something that "ghost-like" increases itself as your car gets further tuned. like example... a break level of 5 out of 10 would do the same as a break level 5 out of 10 with racing brakes, with a car that's been modded about 100k in. It just auto updates/upgrades as your car does. /shrug.

Odds are it'll be his Evo IX. Which can be race modded. So I hope he picks that one.

I'm kinda hoping for the old Challenger which can also be race modded. However, the Racing modified Challenger will probably be this:

the PD what have made in this 6 years????
they take away features than put in????
i really don't understand..

So you mean GT4 and older games had dynamic weather, day / night cycles, course maker, as good physics, damage, and cockpit view for nearly 250 cars?

Am I seeing this right...

The current car is an EVO IX, but supercharging it still an option?

Note: I'm not saying it's impossible to supercharge an EVO, I just didn't expect it to be an option for a car that is typically fitted with gigantic turbos.

If this is correct, any chance we can fit both a supercharger AND a turbocharger?

Oh god I hope so. If we can Twincharge cars in this game, that'd just be to awesome.

I can't just believe you who go crazy and thinks that brakes isn't an option.
Some of you gotta relax.

Touge in GRID was amazing, hoping we could recreate this with the Mt. Aso theme. I can't freaking wait!

And I'll be sure to make a p2p (point to point) track with '10' as the complexity setting for pretty much every section.. :D Can't wait one moment longer.. Omeffmaigawd! :D :drool:

I think touge was grids best unique feature (as far as I know it's unique to grid). Touge is so much fun and having control over turn sharpness, road width, elevation change, turn frequency, and point to point stages with a possibly nice mountain backdrop, I'm psyched man. as much as I am upset about the car list, people need to lighten up and stop complaining!!! this game is going to OWN
