Could anyone clarify the following please?
I've been holding off buying the 1st DLC as its locked to the account that purchased it, my main PS3 account is registered as European (Ireland) but I've since moved to UK.
If I buy the 1st DLC through UK account, will I be able to use it on my main account with new patch 20th Dec?
I didn't see this being clarified in the news article about the new patch & new DLC.

I am also holding. My playing account is from a different region of my GT5 disc, so I have completely stopped playing GT5 until this is clarified, given I may have to start the game over if I want to use DLC.
I asked the guys from Playstation Blog Brazil and they told me with 2.02 and family pack it would be available for every account on the same console, no matter the region, but I still want to wait and see.

Well I bought the 1st DLC on UK account (which I never use), just hope the 20th Dec patch opens up the DLC on my main account, as its 95% completed with Golds on pretty much everything (few AMG specials on silver).
Why PD didn't make this DLC available to all accounts on the PS3, the same as all other games else is beyond belief!
Roll on 20th Dec patch...

You can use a PSN Voucher (like a prepaid coupon) if there is no credit card available, however you can't "gift" DLC to another PSN user.

FYI on the region questions, I dont know about GT5, but most DLC is region locked. I have a US acc as well as UK and have Castle Crashers. UK game, bought US DLC, didnt work. was only like 2 bucks, but still.
It needs to be from the same region as the actual game you're using.
With regards to the using on diff accs, works fine. I have the Limited edition (the one with the chrome lines) and that works on my US acc, even though the DLC code was entered on UK PSN.

Sorry if I'm still kind of confused,
I'm playing US GT5 (about 95% complete) on Asia account, and I suppose I have to purchase the DLC from US Store for the DLC to work.
However, this would mean I have to log in to my US account to purchase the DLC.
Question is - Will DLC purchased from US store, using US account, show up on my US GT5 which I'm playing using Asian account?
(I made a huge mistake by playing GT5 on my asian account).

Wait for the free Family Upgrade pack that'll go up when PSN store refreshes today, once you download and install it from same account you bought the DLC, you can use it on all accounts.

I have a little problem... I don't see the new DLC in the PS Store. When I go to GT5 section, I can only see the old October 4 DLC's (I purchased the whole package), but not the new one. I am visiting PS Store from Spain if it helps...
Do you have any idea of why I can't even see the new DLC?
However, in the game I can see the 4 DLC cars (Scirocco, Golf R, Mini and GT-R) and it tells me to buy them in PS Store... It's nonsense

Sorry, I have tried that bought DLC in Asian store, using Asian account, showed up on my Asian GT5 copy(that`s ok), and when I was trying to play the DLC using JP account with Asian GT5 copy on the same PS3 system with GT5 ver. 2.02...ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, NO...

How do you use the Family Upgrade?
A.
Access the PlayStation®Store from the XMB (Cross Media Bar) of the PS3 system, using the account that made the DLC purchase. The Family Upgrade Icon will appear in the Additional Content screen of Gran Turismo 5.
The Family Upgrade is free, so please proceed to purchase and download. Thereafter when the game is started by other accounts on the same PS3 system, it will be possible to install the 'Course Pack' and/or 'Racing Pack' from the [Downloadable Content] button on the right side of the top menu.
*The Racing Gear Pack and the Paint Pack are not subject to the Family Upgrade. These will continue to be only valid on the account making the purchase.
*Even if you purchase multiple Racing Car Packs on one account, only the first set of cars will be provided to the other accounts in the console.
*Please note that to purchase the DLC and the Family Upgrade, the region of your GT5 disc (Regions: Europe, North America, Japan, Asia) and the region of the PSN account which is used to sign in to the PlayStation®Store (selected when setting the address during account creation) must match. For example, if a user who owns the North American disc purchases the DLCs and Family Upgrade with an account that has a UK address and location, they will not be able to use the DLC using the North American game disc.
ok 1st time i'v posted here. i do keep my i on the site. right im not happy. ok i thought i'd get two paint pack's so got them went to paint my 86 gt to find i'd been ripped i only got about 50 paint item's out of 2 packs so just to make shure i checked that i had 1009 paint and then got another paint pack and guess what still 1009 item's i would like it sorted thank's for the digital card thought that was nice
