Am I in the wrong here?

...you could have saved it if you had stopped accelerating and coasted/braked to stay on the track.

Defensive driving there definitely would have helped. When people are ramming me, my first goal is to get more traction than them to hold my position and take the impact without flying off of the course. If you can brake before the impact you can sometimes force the impact onto their rear panel and they'll punt themselves off of the course. Even if you're late to the brake, braking and slighting turning the wheel towards them can help diminish the impact. At this point you're usually side by side and they're trying to run you off of the track . So now you have to go Mad Max mode and down shift to have more torque than them so you can hold your position while still driving.

I agree the first incident was my fault, but I disagree the move is aggressive. I've pulled that move every Kyoto race and never had a driver so suddenly shut the door. It look like a little bit of lag upon review because he came down so fast and wasn't even affected by the hit.

That is an aggressive move, you were too far behind to attempt an outbrake on a corner which has very little in the way of braking anyway. You have to be right alongside to at least attempt that cleanly.

The 2nd move, you had already lost that corner before the right hander. You needed to pull back in forfeit those positions to the two other cars. You not doing so caused an accident. Were you not using radar? It would have given you better awareness.

The 3rd move you did cut back on that chicane. You could have run over the curb except you kept turning left to go around the right and curb. Unsurprising you were hit.

While yes, the 2nd and 3rd incident were both avoidable by the other driver, you were definitely 50% of the accident both times, and learning from these mistakes will help you in the future.

Thanks for all the feedback, I'll take it into consideration for next time :)

For now, I will request this thread to be closed as everyone is basically in agreement.

All three you had large control over. Even though latter two incidents, the other drivers could probably do a little bit better but I think if you positioned car better then less likely to get involved in a accident in the first place. This is also towards the back of the field in not the highest rating race, caution should always be advised even if the drivers mean well.

First incident, seems a bit reckless. I'm not sure what you are trying to achieve here by taking the slower line and braking later than person on the outside. Better to stay on same line, not risk accident on basis of hoping the other person overshoots corner. Only would make sense to take your line if other person is really slow through there and brakes early enough to pass there or at least when side by side.

Second incident you could have stayed more to the left or approached corner quicker to stamp your authority on it.

Third incident you know you are slow in a quick corner, so you should keep to the right as much as possible.

Lastly the big time loss came from your lack of car control. If you improve that then time loss would have been minimal. Honestly, you are probably better off just carrying on steering in direction you want to go rather in race situation than control it until you get better at using a wheel.
