I posted about it in the premo photography thread but I don't think I brought it up here, but I managed to develop a roll of film and get images onto paper without killing myself or ruining anything.

I got the process down well, too bad most of the images aren't very good, mostly because the focusing was just a little off on pretty much every shot.

@Mike Rotch excellent, as long as the beer is cold and steak is good I'll be happy. May even go out on a limb and get something other than steak if you can recommend it. :D

Sorry for the ot.

Here's a panorama shot from my balcony. Shot with a Samsung Galaxy S4.

So today I ventured out of town to explore an abandoned fuel station/ garage in the bush I heard about. Expect similarly themed pics to be dripped through as I process them :)

Damn that's cool! Could get a lineup of friends wanting their cars photographed there. Can't wait for the rest of the set

@Mike Rotch if abandoned factories/stuff is something that interests you the next time you're down my way I've got the spot for you.
No need to worry about other people either as a key and permission is required for the spot which I could tee up pretty easily. Thinking about it now I imagine it could be a photographers heaven for that type of work.

Everyone all set for their NYE fireworks shots? I know I'll be snoozing and losing by 12 but I look forward to seeing what people that can stay up passed 8:30 see!

And I won't be able to go anywhere because I'm at my mom's house this week. If you're really desperate I can take photos other people's fun on my TV.

#9 of your spoilers was probably the best one. I might download it and edit it.. :D

Thank you. I love the deep, deep blue in it but the one next to it looks bad to me :/

Also, to the "camera technicians" out there; I'm seeing a few dead pixels in my pictures and it appears to be in all of the photos- from the batch above and some other ones that I see in other photos I won't upload here. Is this due to the camera sensor or the lens? Is this normal (I see three so far)? There's also a little red blob above one of the dead pixels and, although thinking it was a star at first (lol) I'm seeing it in other older pictures as well.

Tried going out the other night to get some shots of the moon (I thought what the heck.... ) and they were alright. Wasn't overly excited about the results but there's always stuff to improve on.

I'll have to see when the moon is close to the earth or not. Also was pretty interesting to see how fast of a shutter I needed even with ISO at 100.

It's gone through a bit of editing. Although it was only at 200mm, I'm not sure what would really get a good image. It's also been cropped too, quite drastically.

Edit: I might try overlapping this one with the star trails (I don't think I can stop :D).

Exposure rules for the moon are pretty much sunny sixteen, seeing how it is "daylight" on the moon :P

geeze, for f/1.0 that seems to have gotten a lot of the truck in focus.
When using the M42 mount lenses with the Alpha, they only work in manual mode as there is no communication between the body and lens on account of the different mounts, so the camera records all the pictures as f/1.0 because it doesn't know what the actual aperture is.

I would have shot that wide open though, so f/2.0 👍

That's interesting, I would have assumed the body wouldn't record anything, rather than setting it to 1.0.

The fact that I find that interesting is a good example of how easily amused I am.

ahh, I was wondering because flickr never showed the lens type.
