I think HDR is a fantastic tool when used sparingly. A lot of people seem to go very over the top with the effect and images end up looking oversaturated and unnatural (well they do to me anyway).

Your image is pretty much spot on for my taste!

Some photos from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Tuesday afternoon, last day before mandatory evacuation procedures began. It was a calm day like any other however it was really hot and humid, the ocean was at a temperature of 86°F, and you could see various large cloud formations. I believe Hurricane Florence was around 200-250 miles off shore. By Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning Florence was 155 miles East of Myrtle Beach.
