Spa Six Hours 2024. What a day. What a line-up of cars.

Posts from the eventual six hour endurance race will follow shortly.

Forgive the double post. Tried to put pictures in my last post and the pictures didn't seem to want to embed?

Had a few quiet weeks, but went to a grasstrack meeting a week ago...

...limited options for pictures, but decent racing and a fun day out.

Was in France last weekend for the French Rallycross Championship. Took a few pictures, but not sure when I am going to get around to sorting through them!

No kidding, absolutely epic line up of cars!

Nearly picked the FW07 for nostalgic reasons, but this wins as my favourite of the set. Cool angle and the spray just makes the shot for me.
Thanks a lot! Actually, this is one of the shots I really planned to get. Thankfully it turned out prett good I suppose. ^^
But you just wait until you see some shots of the endurance race:

Dude what?! This is the coolest one in the set!!
Thank you! It's truly mesmerizing to see these historic machines still being pushed to their limits, even more than 70 or 80 years later. Can't imagine how it must have been at the race track back in the day!

Went to the Circuit des Ducs in Essay for the first time earlier this month, for the penultimate round of the French Rallycross Championship.

The circuit wasn't quite how I expected (funny how the TV camera can often give you the wrong impression) but, once I got my bearings, I really enjoyed it.

Weather was a bit of a mixed bag, but a lot of very decent cars in action and some great racing over the two days. Really hope I can get back there next year as there were a few spots I didn't get to with the camera and I'd like to try them out!

Ticked of an 18th visit to the Bathurst 1000 last month. Beautiful weather across the weekend.
The inclusion of the Heritage Touring Cars was very popular trackside, even with the shortened (and a cancelled) sessions.

I also got over to the AHCC at Bryant Park. Love the variety of vehicles at Hillclimbs.

Went to visit Albania again back in September but unfortunately got sick, had my phone smashed, and got stuck in three major beach cities for most of my three week stay (I know, oh no the horror to get "stuck" in three different beaches). So really not worth it as a whole but small moments where I actually got to travel and go capture the scenery that makes this country so beautiful made up for it...

So the first set here is from my trip to Konispol, the furthest township before you hit Greece. On the way, there is a ferry crossing that is beside one of Ali Pasha's (warlord and ruler under the Ottoman Empire circa late/early 18th/19th century) ports. I only saw the port as it was near the ferry crossing and did not go to the residence that was in the mountain due to time constraints.

...the best results I have had in floodlit/low light conditions, but still a long way from where I want to be!

The difference an edit and crop can make (note, both shots were edited - just very differently).

1. Framing and composition out of camera (20mm Olympus prime - 40mm Full Frame equivalent).

2. Heavy crop and high contrast B&W edit.

Semi-interesting side note, the signpost in the first image is now 66.6% inaccurate. The Museum and Art gallery is now in a totally different part of town, and the Car Park is now (on foot) down the alleyway you see behind the signpost.
