Ambulance Mission GTAIII

HELP!!!!!

How do you get to level 12 in the ambulance. Im attempting to do it on the middle island, but not getting past level 4 before crashing the ambulance, either rolling it myself, or getting blown up by bullets / some other car cutting me off.

I don't try it on the first island cause the Mafia don't like me and blow me up with their shotguns, as for the third island, it's just really annoying driving from one side to the other over the bridge all the time. Currently at 96%, only got third island vigilante and ambulance level 12 to complete the game. (which is why the mafia and other gangs don't like me also)

Any ideas???

I did those before I pissed anyone off on the first island.

Yeah, that would help, but I just got straight in and played the game did the missions and then found this website and gamefaqs, then realised that some people were gonna be really pissed off with me. Plan on restarting the game once I get 100% cause it's such a cool game, and I haven't got Vice City yet.

Man - that is going to be hard, and I imagine you'd be vulnerable at Staunton Island to the Yardies and the Colombians - Shoreside Island would be just flat out impossible with the poor location of the hospital and the varying slopes of the road - too easy to tip the ambulance over.

Your best bet might be Staunton, and just drive by the Colombians and Yardies that get near the ambulance - fortunately they're the only hostile gangs there, and they don't have the shotguns the Mafia do. Access to your bribes at the hideout's okay and reasonably central, and thanks to the expressways looping around the island access to the hospital's pretty reasonable.

The only thing dirving me to complete Vice City is so that I can paly GTA:III again.

GTA:III > Vice City.

GTA: Vice City has better gameplay, control, graphics, etc. but GTAIII has the better city and more people.

Rockstar lost the plot with Vice City. The game is supposed to represent gangster life, but in Vice City there are only 2 gangs. GTA:III has heaps of gangs and the missions are more "hands-on". GTA:III also has more of a gangster/thug setting.

GTA:III > Vice City. Clearly.

Hey vs_Commodore,
To fix your ambulance without going to the pay and spray just type in the heath cheat (R2, R2, L1, R1, Left, down, right, up, left, down, right, up)while still in the ambulance. This won't fix the body damage or flip the ambulance back onto its wheels but it will put more life into the vehical. Im not sure if typing a cheat in GTA III will prevent you from getting 100% thats the way it is in vice city.
