Talking of dangerous, confused lunatics with guns:

FBI-shoots-and-kills-Provo-man-accused-of-threatening-President-Bidens-life-080923_5-900x506.jpg

This is apparently his Facebook profile photo:

MAGAs are already calling liberals hypocrites for not rioting and looting over his unjust death at the hands of FBI assassins. Seems like he wasn't the only one in the grip of mental illness.

Not that I actually want it to happen but a really funny FU would be for the DoJ to say "We'll I guess we have to let Hunter Biden walk then."

This bitch is mad because a proposed amendment to the state's constitution threatens to strip the state's civil servants of broad immunity from lawsuits for constitutional rights violations perpetrated against citizens. THE HORROR!!!

The amendment may stand a chance (though hurdles still remain) to be passed because Republican efforts to upend a provision that has been in the state's constitution for 111 years (that's no typo--the [ballot] Initiative and Referendum Process Amendment was added to the Ohio State Constitution one-hundred and eleven years ago) were thwarted by Ohio voters by the very means for which the amendment provides. Ohio's Issue 1, if it had passed, would have changed the number of votes for an amendment initiative to appear on the November ballot from a simple majority to a 60% supermajority as well as requiring petition signatures from all 88 of the state's counties instead of half and removing a period of time allowing for any errors in petition signatures to be fixed. Issue 1 came about in response to petitions for an amendment protecting the right to abortion in Ohio, and because Republicans didn't like the rules allowing for direct democracy that have been in effect in the state for over a century.

What’s the “radical abortion amendment”? I assume it’s something progressive? Since the people of the state pretty much just voted, “We don’t want abortion laws changed for the worse”?

I assume it's this radical amendment to, erm, change things back to the way they were.

It's sad, the Republicans in Ohio have acknowledged that they lost, but they haven't acknowledged why they lost. Their opinion was that it was due to dark money. Clearly it is impossible to them for their constituents to, you know, not want choice taken away from them.

Especially ten-year-old rape victims.

Their cries of dark money swaying the election ring hollow when you realize the vast majority of the money to fund their power-grabbing ballot initiative came almost entirely from one out-of-state billionaire.

Oh, my. Oh, no. It seems Republicans may have a problem with underage sex trafficking. But they don't seem to have a problem with it in the way that I have a problem with it. I have a problem with those perpetrating such acts. Republicans, on the other hand, seem to have a problem with getting caught.

GOP strategist and donor Anton Lazzaro was arrested Thursday morning in Minneapolis on underage sex trafficking charges.

Also arrested Thursday was the recently selected chair for the University of St. Thomas chapter of Minnesota College Republicans. 19-year-old Gisela Castro Medina was arrested on charges of conspiracy to commit underage sex trafficking, reportedly in connection with Lazzaro, but she was arrested in Florida. Florida, where Republican congressman Matt Gaetz has been mired in controversy and allegations of similar crimes, though no connection between Gaetz and Medina has been established.

Law and order.
Lazzaro was found guilty, clearly he was a RINO though so he doesn't count!

Lazzaro sentenced to 21 years in prison.

That would be the one whose existence was denied by connie rats.
Sour about the story being factual despite widespread protestations, Indiana's Republican attorney general Todd Rokita subsequently went on television and falsely accused the doctor who legally provided care to the young girl of failing to report the procedure, vowing to investigate the matter. Unsurprisingly, the investigation didn't actually go anywhere, but when the doctor spoke publicly, denying that she failed to report, Rokita filed a complaint with the state medical licensing board for speaking about the matter--also violating state law regarding confidentiality by speaking publicly about the complaint prior to filing it--and she was ultimately reprimanded and fined $3,000 by the board which stopped short of suspending her license.

The driving force behind conservatism is the deep-seated desire to hurt people.

That's the one. Tucker, WSJ and Kristi Noem also got in on the act. Denying her existence and actually fining the doctor who treated her kinda goes beyond just shooting the messenger. Evil.

Specifically people they've othered, which admittedly could be anybody at any time. You don't become a privileged, protected in-group by letting just anyone in, ya know.

So is the sequel to Canadian Bacon just Chorizo Bacon?
When you have the world's biggest hammer, I guess everything begins to look like a nail. They'll have to change the title of that South Park song to "Blame Mexico"...

Ah.
"The raid followed news stories about a restaurant owner who kicked reporters out of a meeting last week with U.S. Rep. Jake LaTurner, and revelations about the restaurant owner’s lack of a driver’s license and conviction for drunken driving."

So the restaurant owner was having an affair with the chief of police then. Got it.

Gosh.

Judge who approved raid on Kansas newspaper has history of DUI arrests

"The second [arrest] — in Morris County on Aug. 6, 2012 — came amid an unopposed reelection bid for Morris County attorney. She was not supposed to be driving because her driver’s license was suspended in the Coffey County case, court records show. She reportedly drove off-road and crashed into a school building next to Council Grove’s football field while driving then-8th District Magistrate Judge Thomas Ball’s vehicle."

Small town vibes. I'm surprised Trump doesn't have her on speeddial.

The dos and don'ts of trying various things in a small town is such a minefield.

I like how she admitted she wasn’t going to travel to DC and do anything.

Just like the rest of these MAGA chuds. As one famous ding dong once said that always makes me laugh, “You’ll do ****** nuttin!”
