What does everyone think about the new livery for AF1?

It's enough of a shame to see such an iconic livery go. Replacing it with something so naff is unbelievable. This has to be an internetz joke.

It's also hard not to see it as just an inverse of his personal airplane....

It's essentially the "power suit" livery. Rigid, completely devoid of fun, and meant to convey a pretense of seriousness and nothing else.

It does look a bit more presidential inverted though.

Ugh. The position of the flag irritates me. It should be facing with the stars pointing in the direction the plane is flying.
Is it only federal and military vehicles that have to conform to this? If not I guess US Airways didn't consider their logo to be an actual flag and so has no stars to point in the direction of travel.

The Mouth of Sauron Constipated Sarah is on her way out!

:)
I understand President Trump wants her to run for Governor of Arkansas now.

It would be kinda hard not to consider it a flag, considering it's a flag. That said, its not a requirement as far as I know, for anyone other than the military. And then I dont know that it's a hard rule. it just represents the fact that the flag is flapping in the wind in a direction that is forward moving, not retreating.

I'd be surprised if stylised flag logos with no stars or colours were subject to the same flag regulations as actual red white and blue star spangled banners. If so then the "flag" next to the airline name on the fuselage is also the wrong way round.

It's rather strange to admit this to myself, but I find that I'm actually agreeing with AOC more and more these days, at least on some issues. I specifically agree with her on the subject of corporate welfare, big tech needing to be broken up due to anti-trust laws, and birth control being available over the counter. Her stock has risen quite a bit with me lately.

Which, honestly, should just be common ground for either side. Sadly, a 3rd of America will oppose those simply because she is for them.

AOC in my opinion isn't for the democrats, she regularly earns an eye-roll from Pelosi and other party stalwarts because she at least tries to represent the interests of the American people over the financial interests of corporations. I hope she never gets bought and paid for, maybe I'm being overly optimistic, but now I am sincerely starting to believe she could be a positive force for change in American politics. Perhaps I was too harsh on her before.

Oh, I don't disagree with the sentiment that shes not an establishment Democrat. Her, Gabbard, Sanders, Yang. I think they all fall into a category far removed from the mainstream convention. Honestly when it comes to dems like Pelosi, I find that they are near enough the same as corporate Republicans as to not only be two faces of the same coin, but it might as well be a trick coin with the same face on each side. Slap them all together and just call it the Corporatist party.

Democrats and Republicans are largely the same across the board no matter who it is. Yes, there are a few differences when it comes to "morality" but for the most part, neither side is very different. They both like control, they both like to take your money, and they both cater to lobbyists with the biggest checkbooks.

Is it fair to say that that sort of sentiment is part of the problem?
Is it really? Or can people not take a joke anymore?

I don't agree with her politics, I don't think we need to be more Socialist than we are, I already have a wonderful Latina I've been with for 13 years and she's to slim for my liking.

I'd vote for Candice Owens before I'd ever think of voting for her. That said I'm not gonna vote for the first woman President just cause she is a woman. I still regret voting for Obummer for similar reasons.

Cool. Don't think you could have just said all that rather than just going straight to some prepubescent "locker room" word vomit?
Edit: in hindsight, maybe I should have said mentality rather than sentiment in my original post.

I like to keep my posts short and add a little sarcasm or humour. As far as "prepubescent "locker room" word vomit", you should here the stuff some of the other drivers and the dock workers say that are twice my age. Excuse me for being a Neanderthal.

I mean, if you wanna excuse making an sexually inappropriate joke about someone because you dont like their views on some old guys at work, be my guest. Certainly doesnt much diminish my statement on a certain mentality being an issue in this country.

Well please enlighten me, how is what I said an issue in America, considering it was a joke?
Men across the world use crude or dark humour everyday, some even make money off of it #comedians. Should I have put a /s? Have we come to a point to make a joke obvious so people don't get offended but still find a way to get offended?

You'll find that humour changes over time. Jokes about rape aren't exactly as funny today as they were considered to be 20 years ago. Jokes about the gays aren't as funny as they were considered to be 40 years ago. Jokes about a woman's place being in the kitchen and popping out sprogs aren't as funny as they were 60 or 80 years ago.

Times change. You can either keep up or be a crotchety old man complaining about how it used to be OK to joke about sexually assaulting women back in your day.

It's one thing to make the joke in a setting a little more private amongst your friends. I mean, I thinks it's still a solid tell as to the level of maturity you've achieved, but hey, not everyone has good jokes I suppose. However, it's completely another thing to think it an acceptable social convention to be so blatantly crass and misogynistic in the public space. I mean, is that your level of maturity Ryzno? Are you so low brow and uncouth that you have to throw sexual epithets rather than actually tackling the policies of hers you dislike? Do you really not see the issue with this? Are you so unaware that you dont realize when someone like Clinton calls Trump supporters deplorable, its exactly this sort of behavior that drives the sentiment, and rightfully so?

I'm sure there are plenty of Democrats that would say the exact same thing. I forgot GTP doesn't have a sense of humour unless it's some stupid meme bashing the Orange One. I bet if Katt Williams said it we wouldn't be having this conversation. Y'all have a good day.

It’s OK because his significant other is Latina, lol.

I imagine she's probably grateful that she's graduated from "some girl" to bangable despite the difference in their opinions. Women are always grateful when some random on the internet would consider banging them.

I'm still waiting for someone to explain why what I said is a problem. Imari mentioned something about sexual assault, I don't recall mentioning anything about assaulting her. Obviously I wouldn't give it to her if she didn't want it. So again, what is the problem except a group of people here don't like the joke?

Obviously I wouldn't give it to her if she didn't want it.

That's maybe not as obvious as you'd think. Especially not from "the only thing AOC would get from me is [the D]". That's kind of an aggressive statement, and it sure doesn't implicitly indicate a consensual relationship. Maybe where you're from "I'd give it to her" is considered a polite way to express that one would sleep with another if it were willingly offered, but I doubt that's the way it comes across to most people.

Particularly when there are so many other ways to express your desire for a consensual relationship. Hell, "I wouldn't say no to her" is still dismissive, but at least it implicitly includes consent.

And if you're relying on people here knowing your personality and that you'd never rape anyone, perhaps consider that you have quite an abrasive and aggressive posting style, and that apparently you're not as clearly someone who would never force their dick on someone as you might think you appear to be. In which case, you might legitimately need to start adding that disclaimer to rapey jokes instead of just assuming that people know that you're not a rapist.

Because let's be honest, a rape joke very quickly becomes unfunny if the person saying it actually seems like the sort that might go through with it. The exact same rape joke performed by, say, Billy Connolly and Bill Cosby would go down very differently. Connolly might pull it off, because he's a charming old man with a dirty sense of humour, although it's probably not his style. Cosby would go down like a ton of bricks.

I forgot GTP doesn't have a sense of humour unless it's some stupid meme bashing the Orange One.

So when you call him the Orange One it isn't bashing? Gotcha. Or does calling him the Orange One not count, given that he is objectively orange?

I bet if Katt Williams said it we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Post a link, and I'll be happy to say that it's inappropriate then too.
