I believe that when all is known about these riots, it will come out that they were coordinated by a group of radical leftist organizations. The plan was made and sat in wait for the right opportunity.

Just like the right is paying for and organizing lockdown protests that include brandishing firearms in the Michigan State Capitol Building.

I must have missed the part where they started attacking cop cars and burning businesses.

They literally went in the Michigan State Capitol Building brandishing firearms and tried to force their way into the Senate floor. They had to barricade the door and several politicians, from both parties, put on kevlar vests because it was getting to the point of gun fire.

While I have seen 1 IG post claiming Antifa was inciting violence (with it telling black Americans to not trust white liberals), there is this being reported as well.

There is no white supremacist group that has any part in being a "radical leftist organization".
Department of Safety Commissioner John Harrington said they are contact-tracing the arrested and added that an investigation is underway about white nationalist groups posting online to encourage their members to use the protests as a cover to create chaos.

He said some of the 40 arrests made in the Twin Cities Friday night were of people linked to white supremacist groups and organized crime.

This is how you get ahold of a situation quickly:

I'm watching the live news broadcast right now and the amount of people challenging police officers who are merely standing there is incredible. They're also throwing stuff at cop cars too. There was a huge protest up at our capitol building, but since they've all dispersed to go join the going crowd around the area the cop car was flipped over and burned.

We've also had several stores looted, one person shot at a Taco Bell (not by police) and our capitol building has been vandalized.

And to think I was going to go into the office tonight, guess that's not happening.

Good stuff. I find it hilarious the way you periodically go on these idiotic, Trump-fellating diatribes as if you've got a severe compulsive tic disorder--akin to Tourette's Syndrome--that manifests with social media ****-posting. Trumpette's Syndrome, perhaps? Whatever it is, it certainly isn't "normal" as you previously alluded.

Trumpism, man.

Police are being systematically attacked in cities all across the country, if live TV reports are to be believed.

Edit: A major conflict is beginning to take shape at the Grove in LA.

A person runs while a police vehicle burns in the Fairfax District of Los Angeles on Saturday, May 30, 2020.

2nd Edit
Massive crowds are gathering in downtown Seattle. The Governor has activated the National Guard to assist Seattle Police. Cars are on fire, Curfew is declared. Emergency cellphone notifications have gone out calling for all citizens to avoid downtown. Explosions have been heard police headquarters. A freeway has been blocked. Very chaotic conditions being reported on all local TV channels.

The flagship Nordstrom store is being looted. Also Starbucks. Old Navy got hit particularly bad.

Escalation is occurring, as the curfew is ignored and defied. Police are now using flashbangs and teargas. Officers are now being injured by projectiles. Any stationary car is on fire.

I was in the very midst of the Battle of Seattle, WTO '99, all day long, and this is 10 times worse in terms of destruction if not numbers. I expect my old friends the Eugene anarchists are near the front.

Edit:
Full scale all-out looting.

Ah, th old rule number 5 from Rules for Radicals. Not gonna work on me.

This is crazy what I'm seeing on TV. I hope you guys and gals are all staying safe. No idea where this is going to end up but it won't be a good place.

Real professional policework here

It'd be ironic if they then brought out the firehose.

There’s a curfew there, stuff like that is sadly necessary to dissuade people from sticking around.
Definitely, but isn't the curfew from dusk to dawn? It doesn't appear to be dusk there. Do that at dusk if people are overstaying.

There's also laws against killing, and people are doing stuff in an effort to dissuade that as well.

If they wait till dusk to do it they will be forced to either arrest a lot of people or look like they have no power, doing it now hopefully will get people heading home early.

They are doing similar things here, the curfew is 8 but they started closing highways at 7.

How does arson and looting prevent killing?

I'm not sure this is the most sensible thing for NYPD to be doing. It's wrong to throw things at a police car but driving into a crowd is extremely wreckless.

Was I referring to the arsonists/looters?

That's what the curfew is addressing, which is what I was addressing, which is what you replied to. If you weren't referring to the rioting, maybe don't make overly vague arguments and expect people to know what you're talking about.

That cop should be fired and his drivers license revoked.

Peaceful protesters, that's who I was referring to. Y'know, like the ones in the video having their water supplies destroyed. I thought it was pretty obvious, but I guess not.

But question, property destruction to enforce curfew is fair if the curfew is to prevent property destruction?

Overstaying curfew is illegal; I don't reject this premise. Not overstaying curfew isn't illegal. Hydrating isn't illegal. If supplies are ultimately utilized to overstay curfew, then enforce the curfew.

Highway closure is a much better means to enforce curfew. I'm good with highway closure.

He wanted to hunt some animals.

Man, that's quintessential Utahn, using a hunting bow for protection.

We don't get the full picture here though, so I'm not sure what prompted it. Watching the news there were several rioters attacking non-police vehicles, and if that was the case I really don't blame him for protecting himself. The rioters stopped all traffic around that intersection so it's not like he could really flee. If he was going hunting for people though and instigated that without trying to protect himself, then he committed assault with a deadly weapon.

I do have to go to my office tomorrow and you better believe I'll be carrying my pistol with me. I'm not taking any chances because some people feel the need to be :censored:heads.

Oh hey, a follow up to that.

Apparently the rioters looted his car then torched it.

Shouting “All Lives Matter” while taking aim at a black man? I dunno... probably just self defense.
