Fluoride???

I heard a lot about deporting millions, tariffs, and a concept of a plan for medical. but not once did I hear him platform for fluoride.
Might have changed my vote (sarcasm)

I mentioned about the fluoride because me and my mom have flouride toxicity, we drank so much tap water over the past 15-20 years it's unreal. I have white spots on some of my teeth. This is some proof of what I mean:

@UKMikey there's no way I'd drank 3-4L of water, I'd be gone from this planet in a nutshell.

That's why it's silly for government to remove it and risk people's dental health. There are other ways to control your fluoride intake if you're intolerant.

I thought an ingredient in my toothpaste was irritating my skin and causing acne, so I bought some special toothpaste without that ingredient. Next time I went to the dentist I had several cavities. Turns out that toothpaste was fluoride free and I hadn't noticed.

I think the fact that I grew up on well water also contributed to my poor teeth today.

But some people just seem to be born with stronger teeth. My husband doesn't floss regularly but he's never had a cavity.

My teeth do have a few discolorations, I think mainly from when I had braces. But it's a amall price to pay to prevent cavities.

Fluoride toxicity is an acute condition that happens after ingesting too much fluoride. What you're describing sounds more like fluoride sensitivity, but I can't find much evidence that actually exists.

Haha wow this thread took a very strange turn. I didn't expect to see a discussion about teeth and fluoride here.

If nothing else, that portion of the conversation shows that while you mull over the ethics of voting for someone who might do something you disagree with, the guy in the next booth is walking right in and ticking the box for the lunatic based on some half-heard and wildly misinterpreted gibberish without the slightest care for all the heinous crap they've previously done.

Case in point: Where I live, 700 people voted. Seven of those people voted for RFK Jr., which is 1% of the voting population. He got more votes than Chase Oliver and Jill Stein combined.

Yes, that looks exactly identical to what I have. @Danoff

Look up calcium deposits then and realize that fluoride is not your issue. Take a second and inform yourself before you support nutjobs that mess with all of our lives and health. I'd like my kids not to be exposed to polio just because you don't understand what a calcium deposit is.

Edit:

Ok, I'll soften this slightly and be a little more helpful. Ingesting too much fluoride (like swallowing toothpaste as a young child) is one of many potential causes of calcium deposits in tooth enamel. There are other causes, including plaque around braces, and improperly formed tooth enamel, as well as hardened plaque in general. If your enamel has formed mostly properly, but you have a white spot from enamel formation from childhood, then it is a cosmetic issue and is not compounded by additional fluoride. This was the case for me, I had a large white spot on an adult tooth since childhood, possibly caused by swallowing toothpaste, but potentially from just circumstances of genetics. In that instance, if it's not causing pain because of poor enamel formation, then it's just cosmetic and can be easily resolved at the dentist office. In my case, I didn't bother, and my wife actually kinda liked it. Eventually I got rid of it due to another procedure, but I brushed with fluoride my entire life, got fluoride treatments at the dentist, and drank tap water for decades after the calcium deposit appeared, and it did not cause me any dental problems whatsoever. Generally I have excellent teeth.

If you have white spots on your teeth since childhood, that is not a good reason to avoid fluoride on its own. You should consult your dentist and take their recommendation.

Well I guess I'm worried about my health issues and I want whoever's elected to look out for us and not make the wrong decisions. My mom doesn't like fluoride in the water. Oh wait, I just found this article. RFK Jr. wanted Trump to remove all fluoride from the global water supply. Here's the proof:

So if fluoride is safe then why does RFK Jr. have a problem with it?

He's a lunatic conspiracy theorist. His biggest hate-boner of all is "chemtrails" - like, his number priority is to ban them - and they're not a thing.

You seriously didn't go out and vote Trump because RFK wants to ban fluoride in tap water, did you?

Because he's a conspiratorial idiot who only get attention because of his family (who have all distanced themselves from his insanity.

The list of disproven crap he believes is long and winding, much of it's related to heathcare and if he gets his own way will see health outcomes plummet even further in the US.

If you were voting for Trump because of RFK then why didn't you vote for RFK? As numerous people have mentioned, RFK is completely unqualified to give any health recommendations as he has no formal training. He's also in the camp of trying to eliminate all vaccines. Polio has largely been eradicated from the United States but RFK apparently wants to bring it back in the name of freedom.

No, there were other reasons why I chose him too, Biden also said most of his supporters were garbage, what a rude comment. Maybe I should stop looking at the news so much, and reading articles to disturb me and my mind.

It is possible that Big Pharma (which might be in the rare situation where they need to lobby to protect healthcare) forces Trump to not put RFK in charge of anything.

I'm glad Trump won, we wanted him too and we voted for him. He said he was gonna get some people to remove all fluoride from the public water supply. I hope he kept his word on what he was gonna do for us, (his goals).
Oh Chris.....

These things dictate the future of your personal life, not just your country.
I do not wish to be harsh but you are currently in a position where you are reliant on food stamps, social care and medical care for you and your mother to eat, survive, and for her to fight the illness she is facing. You need these things.

So I have to ask why, on God's green earth - did you vote for the party who is against these things? Like, the party that has proposed massive, sweeping cuts to the things you rely on to actually be alive? Were you even aware of this or did someone tell you fluoride is bad and so that's all you know about what's going on?

Which are?

If being rude is a disqualifier then I've some news to break to you about Trump! Oh and Biden wasn't on the ballot.

I think the issue may well be with the news sources you use, either that or your ability to comprehend them and critically analyze them.

They will still get to make money, plenty of meds to go around, and with Trump likely removing cost caps they are golden.

You picked TRUMP because BIDEN was rude once? Holy crap. Maybe you should start looking at the news MORE and realize what an absolute asshole Trump has been. Not for nothing, but he called Harris supporters scum and garbage.

Also, Biden meant to say that the person making the joke was garbage in just the dumbest comeback ever, but he's approximately 1000 years old and a stutterer and just didn't speak correctly. You'd know this if you actually informed yourself.

Jesus tapdancing. I cannot believe that democracy died because of people who think RFK with a worm in his brain from eating roadkill is a health professional and Trump is somehow more cordial than Joe friggin Biden of all people.

I need to take a little break.

You can watch the news and read articles. But while you do, try to evaluate them. Not everything presented to you is true. If you come across a new idea, try to test it. See if there is an opposing idea and then compare the supporting evidence for both.
