There are plenty of suitable, and acurate, short four letter words that can be used, but none of them are forum-friendly.
I don't think he deserves humourous epithets, it's distracting levity from a gravely serious situation, but I did independently think of mine myself.

He's a ****ing **** and I'm just letting the GTP filter do its work.

I do want to give Trump voters a bit of benefit of the doubt regarding tariffs now, because I realized last night from seeing people freak the hell out on Twitter and Bluesky about anime figurines and the like that probably 98% of the people in the US don't know about import duties on a conceptual level because for the past 20+ years of buying stuff directly from China on eBay they've never had to pay them. The idea of declaring items that you bought from other countries is basically an alien one.

Broken clock moment for Trump, perhaps.

I keep getting this pervasive feeling that the very idea of liberalism (for those getting up to speed, the philosophical concept of liberalism - born out of the enlightenment and that gives us liberty, human rights, rules-based order & law, and itself the unique foundational principle of the United States, rather than the conservative fever dream of whatever happens in San Francisco) is close to its expiry date, if not already passed. We seem to be racing towards a weird 17th century-esque mercantile-imperialism "order" where powerful nations try to one-up each other for supremacy via trade surpluses and land grabs. The problem with that is that it tends to lead to a near-constant state of war. Liberalism & law based civilization will soon seemingly be limited to continental Europe...and there probably not even much longer.

But hey! At least facebook generated a lot of ad revenue, right?

Liberalism - ~1689-2025 R.I.P.

@Eunos_Cosmo Reminds me of this:

Oversight Committee Dems just tried to subpoena Elon Musk but the vote failed. Seems they were trying to catch Republicans off guard while many weren't present, but there weren't enough Dems present to succeed.

There's a screenshot going around claiming Ro Khanna abstained, but he was physically in California at the time and says he would have voted yes, had there been more notice. I'm unclear whether there are any means of voting by proxy for things like this, but presumably if there were, Republicans would use it too.

Not that I particularly care to defend "Progressive Capitalist" (an oxymoron if I've ever heard one) Khanna, who wrote that garbage about cooperating with DOGE.

The fact that any Democrat in congress is spending any time outside of the capital right now is ridiculous. It's all hands on deck. States have their own leaders, now is not the time for optics—get the F to work.
