Ah, so this is one of the tossers who has told the MAGA base to parrot that "tariffs are a negotiating tactic". A negotiation tactic at the cost of the stock market/economy, the citizens, & the allies, and he changes his mind so much (despite Pete playing blind, deaf, and dumb that) that other side can't trust and/or just ignores him and goes ahead with their own plans.

So the neat thing about denying them due process is they needn't have done anything at all. What are they gonna do, defend themselves in a court of law? Give a connie rat a name that sounds vaguely Venezuelan and declare them illegal. Start with Victoria there. Don't even have to change the first name. And the first and last letters of its surname can stay as well. Call it Victoria Sanchez. Boom, illegal.

Yep. Without due process it becomes literally the court of public opinion. And public opinion is pretty easy to dictate when disagreeing with the "authorities" would mean basically sticking your hand up to be disappeared to some torture chamber in El Salvador.
It's gonna be tough. Musk can generate scams significantly faster than they can be litigated, and even if they do get to court somehow he has as much ability as anyone to stall and grind matters out. Notwithstanding the ability for allied politicians/judges to get him off the hook.
If he wants to buy elections bad enough, he can probably make it happen. At least for a few years. The system ultimately depends on those in power being willing (or able) to enforce the law.

I know I know "it's only against the law if" but "you can't even be vice president if you have already been President twice" seems pretty cut and dried. And it's not like this is from some time where you have to interpret meanings of English so old that sometimes they wrote cursive "S" as a cursive "F." This was just from the 1940s.

I don’t think there’s any law stopping a former President running for Congress (not sure he even needs to be in Congress), and that gets around the whole “elected” issue.

I'm going to go with Trump calling martial law (not Marshall Law) to prevent an election.
The US Constitution is setup in such a way to prevent this, as martial law doesn't give the president the ability to overrule/bypass Congress. If a president tries to use martial law to prevent an election, Congress should be able to immediately impeach. Should. Because if Congress is cowed/submissive or supportive to the president, they may not do that.
On the other hand, all of you lucky Americans currently have a president that doesn't seem to understand the US Constitution, and makes things up as he goes, so anyone's guess is plausible at this point.

You have to be eligible for the office of the presidency to begin with. Again, recognizing "it's only against the law if"; but that's why if Trump forced his sycophants in the House to make Musk the Speaker or something Musk still couldn't be President. It would just skip him and go to Marco Rubio.

Unless they completely ignore the constitution (which they have no problem doing anyways), there aren't many avenues he can use to get himself back into office. His only options are to use his children as candidates and have them select him as VP (I mean, Donald Jr would probably gladly do it), use Vance or one of his other useful idiots (that's why they are there) or try to prevent another election. The problem is that even making sure he can't run without finding loopholes requires someone in Congress to stand up and say so. That might be a huge ask.

And it will be just and right and good and I'm thankful that I got my knee replaced because I'm gonna want to dance a jig and I'll bake a cake to commemorate the event that I desperately hope is covered widely and from many angles so that I can watch it as a montage on repeat.
