Might I make a suggestion, to put the list in alphabetical order by brand, that way people will be able to see at a glance if a company is already in it.

^ I think what JDM'er refers to electronics are ECU's, air/fuel controller, boost controller, and all that electronics that benefit the performance of the car.

Cosworth are a UK company, not US, they do gearboxes and clutches etc as well as engine's.

I like how you've organised the list by part type but I'd still have it part type, then alphabetical order but good list so far 👍.

Yeah, i was kinda figuring that. Cause if radio was in there, i'm sure Alpine would have already been mentioned, sinced it is the leading brand of radios.

Honestly, would the addition of brand-name parts really make a difference to the game play? Please spare me the "real driving simulator" spiel in your reply.

It would if each part was different in some way, like a Coswprth tuned engine produced different results to a ProDrive one, that'd be cool.

If GT5 were set up so that each aftermarket part performed slightly differently, or had its own unique characteristics, then it could make for some interesting gameplay - in that case the selection of the right parts for you cars would be more important.

I know this is only a game, but some people like 'owning' the cars they have in their GT garages, and it stands to reason that there are people out there who would like to be able to customise their rides with brand name items.
It would be nice to see - say a race-modded 350Z or a GT-40, or any nice hi-po car - decked out with a nice set of slotted Brembo disks, and their trademark red calipers (six piston, of course).

I mean, again it could be something that is selectable as part of the game.

i someone has a GT-40 (not that it can go that fast) or a Z or somehthing, and they're going down a long straight or something, i dont think they'll be worrying about what colour the calipers are.....the only way this would come in hand y is in photmode....the game is not built around photomode, that is an addition......its built around racing........brand names aren't a must, its a kool idea, as long as its 'contained' so to speak.

its a PD game, not an EA game....

It's a game that's main focus is car's, being able to fine tune you r car's more and put many dmosr different parts and part combinations in would improve GT no end. Ofcourse, ideally each brand part would have slightly different characteristics, so someone might build a Skyline based soley on Blitz parts and end up with a Skyline that's 20bhp more powerful and 10kg's lighter than someon using another company. On the otherhadn somone might mix and match parts to get the best possible result and get another 40Bhp over the guy's Blitz tuned Skyline. That'd be cool. Having little touches like the brake calipers are nice, they arn't needed, but it's a nice touch.

and none of that, would make GT an EA game, GT has nothing to do with NFS, even with brand name parts and bodykit's, they'll still be a world apart. It's not what oyu have, it's how it's implemented and used.
