Exactly what kind of mansion is this, what kind of operation takes place in it, and how many people goes through this place?
Many of you are labeling him a hypocrite based on this article, but how can you be so sure?
If this is strictly just his residence, then I'd suppose that he probably is a hypocrite. But what if he has 100 people going in and out every week, or he rans some sort of business through this place?
I'm no fan of Al Gore, but man, a politician of that caliber probably doesn't sit around his house the way we do. I need little bit more proof, before I can conclude that he actually is wasting energy.
Wow, I totally missed your reponse. Sorry, Swift! You really like your gray areas don't you?
Well how about the Hannity video that was posted in this thread? All the CO2 that Gore is putting into the atmosphere with private jets instead of commercial ones?
Wow, I totally missed your reponse. Sorry, Swift!
On the video, I can't remember if I saw it or not. You might think my stance on it was neutral, but without definite proof, I'm not going to bite the man's head off.
On private jet, Al Gore is not you or me. When someone is in so much demand, and are busy, I don't have problem with that person flying a private jet. Your argument is legitimate one though. If Al Gore wants to protect the environment so bad, maybe this is where he needs to make some sacrifice.
That would be 24 homes. Each month, his compound uses about double the annual kilowatt hours of a regular house. Must be quite a business he's running there.Well, I would say that the amount of CO2 that the private jet puts out is readily available. Then you cross that with the amount of trips he's taken and you how much "hotter" good old Gore is making the planet.
But yeah, I have zero problem with private jets. I have a huge problem with a guy that says we should curb our driving, flying and household energy consumption to save the world when he uses enough energy for about 10 homes by himself.
...Couldn't Gore be running on green energy, though? Like solar panels, etc? That would be 24 homes. Each month, his compound uses about double the annual kilowatt hours of a regular house. Must be quite a business he's running there.
Ah, I see.No, that's what he's actually metering - that's how much he's taking from the grid. Supposedly he buys "green energy" and carbon credits, but that's still not the same as simply using less power.
