I'm doing some more testing today hopefully, and depending on the outcome may switch to ASPARADRINK from CUSCO if there is space left.

Got a PB of 1:28.4 on Nurburgring GP/D during further testing last night, and ended up averaging high 28s with both cars.

By far, there is only ONE available car, and it is the RX7 Re Amemiya ASPARADRINK when all cars are taken, we can decide together when to fix the first test race at tsukuba

And guys, I'm asking you if you like the track list for the event, and if you want to suggest any other track, we can discuss it together too 👍

The reason I was so keen to join this was because of the track selection. I like basically all of them, but may I suggest Tsukuba as one of the actual events as well as the practice event.

I decided for this first series to allow only 12 players, because it's my first online series and I don't know how chaotic would be with 16, plus is difficult to find a time slot that is good for 12 people, imagine if we was 16...
Anyway, if this series goes well, I'm going to carry on the gt300 with a second season, and then I may allow also other standard cars for more variety

About the weight, I was doing some tests with all the cars allowed to the tournament, and they are pretty close without any ballast addition. I think that if we are going to add more 50 kg to the amemiya and the subaru, we'll penalize them too much, and since they aren't faster than the Garaiya and the IS350 according to my tests, I think that we can leave it stock for all the cars.

So, now we have to decide the day we start with the test race, and the time slot we can use. I think that the majority of us will be comfortable with the 20.00 - 00.00 GMT (London) Slot, right?

And about Tsukuba, yes, Since it's a SuperGT race, we can include it in the list of official races 👍

I'm ok with all days except Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Maybe some Sundays I can race, but I'm usually at my girlfriend's place in the weekends, and Wednesday I have the guitar lessons 19:00 - 20:00 GMT, so it would be a problem for me to race on Wednesday. All the other days are good for me 👍

I'm at GMT +1, and it's going to be a problem if we start at 23:00 GMT because practice, qualify and race will take at least 2 hours, meaning that when we finish, here in Italy it's 2 o'clock, a little late for me to be honest since I go to work at 7...

EDIT : actually Great Britain and Italy are both in DST, meaning that Italy is GMT + 2 and GB is GMT +1, we have actually 6 and 5 hours of difference.

I think the best way to go about it would be to add a poll to the thread, asking for a prefered day.

I agree with making Tsukuba one of the actual races, and my personal opinion is the season could be a little shorter. I think 8 races (just like real life) would be great for the first season, but of course the call is Andy's to make.

Also, if anyone on the Asparadrink team wants to swap teams to Cusco, let me know.

I was thinking the same thing, 8 races would be perfect, and I propose to eliminate the original GT track instead of the real world track. I'll make a pool to see what do you think about the tracks then. About the day, I think that at this point a tuesday or a friday are the more suitable days.

About the day to race, I see that 4 people voted for Sundays, but a lot of us that voted a week-day and not a week-end day has a lot of trouble to join the race in sunday, me included. So, you that voted for Sunday, can also race other days?

I use roof cam, why don't you try it? Are you using a wheel or a pad?

Its not really my place to say because its your preference but if you use roof cam, or even cockpit which is quite good in the GT cars, you can see the corner line so much easier and you will be faster.

Yeah I use 3rd person cos I play other racing games, plus I've been using behind the car view since GT1 lol.

I'll give it a go, I used roof cam for the Ferrari F1 challenge and S-Vettel challenge for that reason I think. I just couldn't do it in behind car view lol
