Yes, they will charge your credit card when you place the order.

Thanx..If noting crazy happens over the weekend I will probably order it next week...Although I will not be able to get the Club Sport Pedals right now..but maybe buy Xmas..=)

BTW..this is probably a stupid question but I was noticing shift paddles on the steering wheels but also everyone seems to have a shifter....Is one better than the other??...Is this an option that Fanatec has that I might not want??..Thanx again

Usually the common wisdom from what I have gathered here is that shifter is great for immersion but for competitive online racing and such- most seem to prefer paddles.

Since right now all I have is my paddles on my wheel I use that (note still currently waiting on my GT2 to clarify)

So anyway, yeah you should want the paddles for f1 style shifting. surely that is the superior method for controlling an x1 / f1 car (f1 2010, gt5)

It's all up to user preference, really.

For many, it's more immersion to be able to accurately mimic the vehicle you happen to be driving. Such as using the H-Gate shifter for road cars (or any car with manual transmission), and paddles for open wheel, WRC, Super GT, LMP, etc...

I use the paddles when I'm using the Formula GT. The H-Gate with a Honda Civic, or the like.

Treed it seems.

;)

I can see how the paddle shifters can be an advantage for online racing.. and Im assuming that it can easily be switched from shifter to paddles. Sorry for all these noob questions as Im at work and the Fanatec website is blocked for me...Can you get the wheel WITHOUT the shifter and maybe buy it later???

Yes, you can get the wheel without the shifters.

I have had the same exact issue as sintek. I just sent fanatec with a video hopefully they will fix.

I just received the wheel about 4 weeks ago. It worked beautifully then yesterday something happened. I only play gt5 but the spring function not longer works, the force feedback is now very week and the issue that sintek has. The wheel also startsup much slower than it used to.

Hell its still better than dfgt with these problems but I need it back to the way it was.

Mine also just started calibrating much more slowly upon startup. It also is taking 3+ seconds for it to jerk to center after it finishes rotating.

Have you contacted Fanatec? They of course told me to send a video, which I did and it shows the bumps and jerks while turning (which are now more pronounced than when I first posted here) rather clearly so hopefully something gets done.

Yesterday I sent fanatec an email with a video showing the issues I have had. The next day they sent me an rma.

Now they are going to send me a new wheel right away. Now that's some great customer support!! Was a little nervous about purchasing the wheel initially after reading that the customer support was a little lacking. Not lacking for me I am trully impressed with the immediate response time!! I have no doubt I have bought a great product now I'm very cofident in the customer support.

Sending a video is the key.

Glad to see you were able to get it taken care of. 👍

Sent u a pm sintek.

Again I can't express how pleased and impressed I am. Oh and did I say, even though the wheel is messed up its still much better than dfgt.

Great to hear. I also received a quick reply to my first email. I don't know why there is such a discrepancy in reports of the customer service quality, unless people just aren't giving all the required information in their emails.

If you have an electronic store near you. Take your power supply to get it checked.

Mine was only pushing out 16v instead of 24v and would take ages to power up.

I figured that the issue with taking forever to turn on was an issue with the power supply. I am surprised that Fanatec hasn't sourced new psu's for the US GT2's.

Been looking on the Fanatec site and everything is sold seperately..wheel/pedals/shifter. Trying to save some money and was wondering if anyone has any complaints about the plastic (cheap) brake/gas/clutch pedals???? The Clubsport seem to be made very well but dont know if I can throw down THAT much money at one time

katpeeler a lot of people complain about the standard pedals. But if your budget just doesn't fit the CSPs then do what you have to do & if/when they break, just add on a bit more & see if they switch it out for CSPs. The GT2 is on back order for now anyway, you can just try to save extra for CSPs while you wait (drop standard pedal, add money for CSP). They appear to ship everything at once in the case of back ordered items

I didn't get the cs pedals. Had dfgt and the standard pedals are much better than the logitech's.

Shipped my replacement wheel today. Very pleased. If u have real issues with a fanatec wheel follow all instructions to the letter and it seems they give u service with a smile.

Thank You for your response.....I was wanting to get this for Forza when it came out this year so I guees I can wait a bit before I order. I also see a clamp sold on there website..Does this mean the wheel itself doesnt have a clamping mechanism??.....How much is wheel+shifter+Clubsport pedals??...Unable to get on there site at the moment???

Has anyone heard anything in awhile about the clubsport shifter? It's been a few months since anything has been mentioned about it.

It was said to be released in Q3 2011 and I believe that they wanted have GT2 production settle out before they start shipping the clubsport shifter.

That's good news. I would like to know if this is compatible with a wheel stand or is it for sim rigs only.

1. Total package had cost me around $520 for shifter+gt2 wheel+CS pedals+shipping
2. I don't believe its required to order the Table Clamp. It was supposed to help further secure the wheel. I've read the clamp included with the wheel isn't as good as the Logitech or even the Thrustmaster 'claws' though. Fanatec might consider making a film about the different clamps or put up some more screenshots

I plan to announce something at E3 about the CSS

Interesting....

Thomas,
Are we still on track to receive our GT2 wheels in NA by the end of May? I ask because I am relocating at the start of June and may need to change my shipping address. Thank you for any information you can offer.
