Another Fanatec wheel arrives!

I got mine in as well but decided to cancel it. I want to see what the clubsport shifter is all about and see what else is new during e3 with wheel manufacturers. It was difficult as hell to cancel it after waiting but I've waited this long, what's a few more weeks
 
Gratz everyone, looking forward to reading you guys impressions, etc when your wheels arrive.

did any of you guys order the standard pedals? I am curious to see how that goes for you guys as well. Many people are still under the impression the standard pedals are unreliable so hopefully you guys getting the new high quality pedals can set the record straight
 
Looking forward to some forza with the wheel finally. I have a fanatec gt3rs already with clubsports but obviously it's been limited to ps3. I do love it but the multiplatform goodness is going to be great since I find forza more entertaining than gt5. The only thing I'm leary of is this new wheel they are possibly making.

Don't worry about the new wheel. You will love Forza 3 with the GT2 and Clubsports. I have had both bolted to my wheelstandpro since early January, and I have used them almost every day I have been home, sometimes for up to 10 hours in one day. Amazing products!!!
 
Nope, just the shipping email from Fanatec. With both my clamp and pedals, the UPS info didn't arrive until after my package:rolleyes:

:lol: wow. That's good news (kind of) for those of us who haven't gotten a tracking number yet I suppose. Did your order ship on the day you got the conformation email then?

I am sure it was either that day or the next. I received them 3 days after the shipping email. But, I live in central-coast California and Beverly Hills is not that far away:)
 
What do you think of the product? Was it worth the wait?
I only have the CS pedals which I use on my PC with a T500RS wheel; I love both. I received the GT2 shipping email (Your order XXXXX will be shipping now!) from Fanatec on 1 June, so I estimate it will be here tomorrow or Monday.

P.S. I also have the GT2 clamp, but I obviously can't use that yet. It looks to be built like a rock though. And, given what I have heard about the stock clamp, I am sure glad I have it.

Awesome! I"m like 15 minutes away from Beverly Hills and I got the email yesterday:) I hope the adapter for the G27 pedals work.
 
Weird...I just got an email that it's delayed again for a few days lol I am confused! So why the email that it was being shipped?

Thomas can u shed some light?
 
This company is so weird. So they send out an email that it is shipping before they even have it through customs?! Hilarious. Really, after MONTHS of waiting, it really is just comic relief at this point.

we would like to inform you that the announced shipment of your GT2 order is delayed again.

This matter is caused by the US customs as they decided to exam the container with the new incoming GT2 wheels.

Up to now we have not any confirmed date but we suppose that it will only be a few days later.

Please be assure that we all will do our very best to receive the goods on stock as the earliest date.

The US warehouse is well prepared to get the orders shipped at once when GT2 wheels are on stock.

We apologize for the inconvenience and will keep you informed about any news.

This is complete bulls*#t. Fanatec, get your stuff together and make this right. As said before, kinda hard to ship and item that you don't even posses.

I love in the email how they say, "thanks for understanding". Lol. I don't understand.

Fanatec, I thought you were working on your customer service, this is not the way to do it.

When you receive your product the pain starts. Remember not to join an online league or commit to run in a series.

Apart from that have fun on the Fanatec roller coaster. Lol.
 
I can understand your frustration but can you please suggest what we could have done better?

The (random) examination of the US customs is totally beyond our control and the only thing we could do was to inform our customers.

Edit: I might want to add that we could get clearance already later today or on Monday in best case.
 
This is really making me wonder how successful of a launch for the CSS will be? If it does not sound like it will be ready to go when date is set, I will NOT order. I am not going ride that coaster again. It was not a fun one the first time. BUT, Fanatec did go above and beyond to make their mistakes right with me, so they get 1 more chance.

I take anything they say with a grain of salt.....

I asked for a working G27 adapter so at least I could race.

Still waiting.

My mrs isn't happy with the money I've wasted either.

Dont send shipment emails until you have slapped the shipping label on the boxes and are waiting for ups to pick up the boxes. Its extremely misleading to say its shipping when you dont even have the product in your possession.

Yes, don't send an email saying it's going to ship now, then couple of days later, send an email saying it's delayed.

I would also suggest, don't give best case scenarios. People look into that too much. Give worse case scenarios. That way when it arrives earlier than that, people are happy.

I understand delays happen, but sending a shipping email, then after sending a delayed email, .........does not make sense to me.

Anyways, I hope you get your customer service worked out. I hope to see my wheel next week. ........ .......

Jesus dont they realize that all those problem people have why brand new products put off potencial customers (like myself)

I think their problem is they send an email when they ship from germany when they should send after it goes through customs
 
Thomas, as for what could you have done better...... All we ask for is that the information you provide is honest, correct, and to the point. No grey area's. All this does is make us, the customer, speculate, and become weary from ordering from you.

You have damn fine products to offer, and they are excellent. My GT2 and CSP's are the best investment I have made for the next 5-10 years with proper care. I know that on your blog site, you do keep up very well with this information.

Last thing, please make sure when you update the site and payment arrangement's, you set it up so that the money does NOT exchange accounts until the order is being processed for delivery. I realize you are aware and are on this issue, but I wanted to reiterate this. Intellectual property rights protect us from not receiving our products in a timely manner. You have 30 days to deliver once money is exchanged, or legal action can be taken..... US that is.
