Just got AC, one quick idiot question. :dunce:

How do you turn off the racing line?? I can't find an option for it.
Should be in the Drive menu next to track conditions. Click on the driving options (or whatever it's called), and there should be four circles. One will be the driving line. Click it, and it should turn off. You can also customize your driving settings any way you like in that menu.

Thanks guys, found it in the Realism menu. AC UI is a little weird to get used to but I'm working it out. 👍
It does take some getting used to. When I first started pc sim racing last year it was a bit overwhelming to get used to the different way of doing things vs. console but you get used to it eventually.

Yeah, the UI could do with a makeover, to be honest. There's a lot of clicking just to make sure you have everything set correctly. I would prefer much more info on one screen.

And you have to constantly change them. I usually set my track condition to "green" or "fast" and if I'm not driving the h-gate I turn on auto-clutch and auto-blip, but almost every time I leave the track it resets them to default. So I re-join the track, notice the auto-blip isn't working, and have to exit back to the menu to change them back the way I want them. Rather infuriating really.

There is an option to save those settings. Its not where you would expect it to be though. Its in one of the lists in the main menu tabs. I think the last one but not sure.

Yeah, I never would have looked in there for that setting. I'll check it out.

Thanks guys, you just saved me a lot of swearing!

Now if I could just figure out a way to get it to stop moving the main screen over to my side monitor..........:irked: I've read about others having this problem so I think it's something with AC. It used to only do it occasionally, now it does it after every first session on track.

I had the same issue yesterday when playing with the resolution settings (for triple screens). I tried a lower setting because the menu icons on the left side of the screen were half hidden. Lowering the resolution made them fully visible, but the main screen moved to the left monitor, leaving Windows background on the right monitor. When I tried to reset the resolution, the game crashed on me.
I have it now again at its first setting, with the menu icons partly hidden behind the bezel.

Yep, similar problems here. I used to hardly be able to see my app icons on the right side, changing resolutions fixed that. But I've had this issue with the menu moving ever since I first got the game over a year ago. It used to be an occasional thing but now it happens like clockwork. I read something the other day that you can edit something in a text file that will make the menu render on only one screen which may fix the issue, but now I can't remember where I read it.

Some help needed:
In cockpit view I noticed the dashboard shaking from left to right all the time. Is there a quick remedy that disables this. Don't know what this tries to mimic, but it drives me nuts.
To be clear, I mean the horizontal shake. I'm good with the rest of the movements.

Never mind, changing high speed camera movement solved my issue.

I think I solved this. In the General menu there is an option to adjust the render width of the menu UI and if I increase it to the maximum it seems to put the menu on the center monitor and keeps it there.

You helped me.
I tried to adjust this setting and noticed the red line that changes. I could not move the hidden tabs though. But then I noticed that (for some reason) I had my resolution too high. Now it's on 5760 x 1080 @ 144Hz.
Tabs are visible now when in DRIVE, but in the menu screen I now have a 3" vertical bar with windows background on the right side of the right screen... Is that normal ?

Odd, I'm not sure why it would do that. Mine fills the whole screen.

Just to show the "problem"...

When I go driving, the game view covers all of the monitors completely.

EDIT: sorry guys... Leaving and restarting the game solved this too...should have thought of this before...but you know... Long time Mac user...

There is a mod for this. I don't know if it will help though.

It's called, Real Head Movement.

Thanks, but I managed to fix the issue (needed to quit and restart the game - see edit in my previous post).
I know you fixed it but this real head movement app seems to be an improvement. I wasn't giving this link to fix your issue but to try out something new.

Looks interesting.... are you using it and if so what do you think ?

Nope, it keeps coming back. After starting up the game it is OK, but when leaving the track I get the same view as on the picture above.

Or is this maybe just normal in AC ?

Do you have any issue when playing on one screen?
Normal configuration in AC and most games is either one screen or 3 screens.

It's gotta be a combination of a resolution issue and the UI width issue. If I have my resolution width too small I end up with gaps like that between the monitors, so I go up to the next higher resolution option (4080x768 I believe) and that fills the screen but still lets me see most of my app icons on the right side. Then I went to the "General" settings tab in AC and increased my UI width to the max and now I don't have any problems with the menu screen shifting size/position. Might want to double-check your UI width and make sure it's at the maximum, if you tinkered with resolution settings it might have changed what the maximum is so it's not filling the entire screen(s).

I'm not a triple screen guy but I believe you have to set the resolution in game not from the video card correct?

Both. Well, it's best if your in game settings match what you have your video card set to anyway. But there is a separate setting for the UI width and I think it might change if you adjust your resolution, i.e. if you increase your resolution then the max UI width will increase. So if you increased your resolution without increasing your UI width to correspond you could end up with the gaps that he sees. In theory anyway, I'm not positive on this. I just recently found out that increasing the UI width to the max fixed my problem with the UI/menu moving to the side monitor.
