Any help with the Silvia S13

Hey guys, I just started drifting in GT5, and since I didn't find the Sprinter Trueno, I bought a Silvia S13 to start with. I bought a fully customizable transmision, a customizable drivetrain, low turbo, everything in the Exhaust part, an ECU and a racing filter.

Then, I found some setup here, so I'm running with
Ride height: -20 , -20
Camber angle: 2,5 , 0,5
Initial torque: _ , 40
Aceleration sensitivity: _ , 50
Brake sensitivity: _ , 35

And of course, no aids.

Am I doing right? Maybe I should change something?

im also trying to set up an s13, i might try your specs (im kind of a noob at tuning)
if you guys figure something out could you please post it here, or pm me

Try this setup, I've built a few S13's for people and always use these settings and have been told by all that they handle awesome.

Ride height: -10 front and rear
Spring rate: 6.0fr 5.2rr
Damper bound: fr5 rr5
Damper rebound: fr5 rr5
ARB: fr2 rr3
Camber:fr3.0 r0.5
Toe: fr0.0 rr0.2

Diff: all settings to 60

Job done :)

Ok i have been drifting on gt for many years and this setup is one of the best i have seen so far for gt5. So easy to chuck the car around it just drives like its on ice. I managed to get around 24000 points on eiger nordwand sector mode. Ill submit ure setup to the setup depot:tup:

Thanks LOL I guess GT is now at the point where real setup knowledge helps you set your car up in game :) Polyphony should be proud :)

ARTICA

I"m a wheel user (G27) and a drifting beginner.

This is a great car to learn to drift in, with the wheel. I"ve tried several cars/ set ups and as a beginner, I can honestly say that this car behaved really well for me, giving the right feedback which gave me the confidence to go fast enough to maintain a decent slide.

Well worth buying one and setting up. I wasted plenty of money on setting up other cars but was running before I could walk.

My two cents!

Bought an S13, tuned it to 327hp IIRC.
It sucked big time compared to other cars. I'm not blaming the car (nor the driver lol) but I just think it was not handling good because I did all the weight reductions (+ window weight red. and CF hood).
The car had virtually no weight while transfers and I couldn't feel anything when drifting it.

I wonder what chassis upgrades S13 users have done here (especially the weight reduction)

I went up to stage 2 with weight reduction and fitted a body colour carbon hood. It's around 1015kg if I recall correctly.

Having said that, I'm a drift noob so don't ask me about fine details. I'm still learning mate and for that purpose... the car is great. Very predictable so if it messes up, that's because of me!!

I think mine weighted same as yours, but I hated the feeling of it. It was way too light and I couldn't feel what the car was doing during transitions.

It may just be a case of getting used to it, post-changes. I feel a fair bit of feedback still, albeit lighter in general.

Shame that we can't disable these changes to test it, although I guess you wouldn't be able to do that easily in real life either :)

I'm not buying another. I've spent so much on building drift cars recently so I'll HAVE to adapt :)

With these settings, should I have all the upgrades possible for the car? Also, what tyres should be used?

Cheers
