Same boat as you! i have FL Studio's on my Desktop, but i don't have the patience to learn the in & out of the program.

Get a cheap controller, and go from there! Plenty of tutorials out there. Maybe, you can find a production company to work with! Like me, i found one and started to comment on there page, and the boss messaged if i wanted to join along for a wedding, and since then i have gained my spot in the company
