About having all the previous tracks back, I've made a list with every track track that has made into a gt game, plus GT5 course maker places, I think it would be nice to put it in the OP, what you think?

@Renan_
I think it would be a good idea -I was just looking at the GT5 one- but I'm not the OP, so...

Yeah, if the OP accepts, I'll post everything here :), I also have a list with every car that made it, and without unecessary variations, exactly 1025 cars, but that's not the post for it ;)

@The Vanishing Boy has also made a very exhaustive (perhaps too exhaustive) list of every track not yet in GT6. Which you can find here or in his sig.

Yeah, I've been following it for quite some time (loved the Rome Circuit combination), but, mine is different, only completely modded circuits up to now, it only has names, didn't had time to search for images, I wanted to search images for the cars list I also made first. It has some changes in the names, that I would like to explain why :), anyway, the OP decides.

Well, we'd better give the OP (@AudiMan2011 ) a quick shoutout so he knows you're here, maybe a private message too.

I'm still here @Renan_. Feel free to post your list of tracks for me to look at. I mainly researched all the main tracks from each previous game that has been excluded rather than every little layout.

I'd like to see it return too, just not at the expense of overcoming some Micro$oft exclusivity. And I'd also rather bring in Fifth Gear along with it, because Tiff Needell and Jason Plato trump Jerry Claxon and the crew.

Thats exactly why I think its better to add completely new tracks, it's more fun to learn new tracks that we haven't raced on before.

Unless GT is the only racing game you play there aren't many real world tracks left to add that could be 'new' to learn.

I'm gonna say this now, the reason Seattle has the most votes is because its most likely to be returning at some point as it was featured in the NSX trailer. Don't get me wrong though, I do like the track.

With this you are assuming people usually play all the available racing games? Come on.

No, I'm not. Do you know what the qualifier 'unless' means?
Therefore, mostly, a new real world track means a new track to learn for the average gamer.

And, I think each game is different. Even if the layouts are similar, the feel is different.

Depends, who is the average gamer? Look at the new tracks added in GT6, Ascari and Goodwood are the only tracks that hadn't previously been in countless other racing games over the years before it. GT6 would literally have to be one of your first racing game for those tracks to be new to you.

Yes, but Samus, you have to know that many of us here aren't all that gregarious when it comes to racing games. Some of us also play other console racers like Toca and Forza, some of us have a PC sim or three. But I suspect that in the gaming community at large, not all that many have a whole library of racing games of various types and systems. Those guys will have raced every nuance and variation of tracks from Abu Dhabi to Zolder, the Nordshleife, and everything in between. But I doubt that's a very big club. The first time I raced Mugello was in Forza 3, for instance.

And that different feel thing is very true. The Nurb' in Forza was a lot like a fantasy variation reminiscent of the original, for years. And for those of us who haven't raced some version of Hockenheim for some time, like me, it's going to be a relearning experience if it shows up in GT6 or 7. And with historical variations, even more so, of course in a good way.

Just saying, I guess. ;)

What always surprised me is that PD never took the chance to reel in massive nostalgia points and include some sort of "Mega Rome" track that took the GT5 layout and combined it with the old GT2/GT3 layout that intersected it.

Edit: Like this, though sadly most of the images are broken.

I have a PS2 and 3 (had a 1, but it plays on the 3, so...)

I gave up on PC games LONG ago because I refused to buy AN ENTIRE NEW SYSTEM each and every time I got a new game!!!!

So, anything that isn't in gt is not known by me in any way.

I have a feeling that I'm not alone (or at least completely) in this standing.

I've been a GT fan since GT1 but have never purchased any downloadable content and currently have no intention of doing so. However, should PD decide to offer good legacy track packs count me in. This is an opportunity for PD/Sony to satisfy a lot of customers and rake in the cash.

The community has been asking for this for a long time. Apricot Hill is a start but we want a lot more.

^ I've already done the Missing Tracks thread, it sorta died out simply because of GTP's formatting problems and sorta moved it on my Blogger page. I can get back on it as long we could help each other out! ;)

Yeah, I've been following it, my list is nowhere near detailed as yours, the diference is that I did with every track and not counted hidden tracks (most probably because I've forgot ), for, perhaps, a future GT, hence why I changed some names. By the way, about that helping, what do you have in mind? :)

People really need to learn the difference between unsubstantiated rumours and facts.
It's a pretty serious speculation, Slip, considering numerous actions of your favorite monopoly in the past.

What makes speculation 'serious' exactly? Surely you would need something called evidence for that?

My what?

You might want to look up the actual definition of monopoly, and while you're doing "research" instead of "speculating", you might want to look into BBC's policy on exclusive licensing rights.

-> I would like ask KY on why he decided to axe many of his masterpiece original tracks. Well, of course I understand with licensed real tracks like Dunsfold, Sonoma, Valencia, & PPIHC or even Piazza del Campo in Siena, Italy.

-> Rather than requesting many of these wonderful tracks back, I'd like to ask why he axed tracks SSR11 '90s (the first GT track that was omitted in history) which there were screenshots in GT2:

^ Yes, its very painfull to watch..it might even make you angry at some point. This is my drive ever since my thread in GT5. :indiff:
