I got on at 11pm last night and so the hour countdown and got all excited.
I decided I'd run 17 minutes on each track (3 mins between for switching) with the remaining time going to the cape.
I loved the pressure of having that deadline, it forced me to just drive. I stopped looking at split times, didnt run against a ghost and just drove as hard as I could as clean as I could. Despite the added time pressure, I actually was more relaxed and didnt spin or crash at all.
Never restarted, just kept driving. I wasn't really worrying about beating my times but had no problem matching them within my self-induced time limit.
In short, I thought the time limit was exhilarating and actually considerably improved my driving by forcing me to trust my instincts. Couldn't worry about the previous sector, just HAD to keep moving.
Just wondering if anyone else felt the same way
