In the first post, wouldn't "Only some cars can receive swaps (144 from 514 to date)" have to be changed to "155 of 519"?

Also, I'm wondering why the list of swaps by introduction only has 150 entries. Shouldn't there be 160?
I probably missed some updates - I realized I missed 1.35 and added it, but that meant I missed another update(s).

EDIT: Confirming 1.40 is also missing, will add.

Just realized how bad the rest of the new swaps are.. it seems there is a 13 year old boy in charge of engine swaps in PDI. 🤣 Makes no sense what so ever.
Yes, such interesting, more realistic combinations would be possible, like the Maserati Merak engine into the Citroën DS (in the absence of the SM) or the Porsche 356 Fuhrman engine into the VW Beetle.

And other interesting engines to swap, like the 1954 Ferrari Mondial, with its formula 2 engine and the 1955 Mercedes F1 engine (what an impressive sound when it passes by).

Also if anyone is keeping track of references in addition to that, the 992 Turbo S swap on the 991 GT3 RS is seen as reference to the 991 GT2 RS.

Would you or someone else have a compilation of these references to insert into this topic?
 
I wonder if the first post should be updated with the costs of each engine as well? Not that it’s hard to figure out - simply half the cost of the car the engine comes from, plus 100k - but wouldn’t it be convenient? It could just be for the first half of the post, where the swaps are sorted by engine rather than by model.

Also, while I still think the 2JZ-swapped GR Yaris is the most cost-efficient swap in the game, were there other comparable swaps that I might be forgetting? I’m mostly considering the cost of both the GR Yaris itself plus the swap, as well as the fact that the GR Yaris is AWD, making it great with a torque distribution controller. I’ve also been able to tune it from 550 PP all the way to 700 PP, making it very versitile for various regulations - including those that are on dirt/snow. I’d imagine the 2JZ-swapped GR Corolla would be similarly great, but beyond those two, does anything really compare? Maybe it’s just me…

The Jimny with K swap utterly murders 550-600pp events. Surprising traction with wide wheels even at 500bhp and on Sports Hards, that's quite a potent budget package.
Sounds like I'll have to give it a swing, but the GR Yaris with a 2JZ can even reach 700 PP, if I recall right. But either way, I'd imagine it'd especially be fun with a torque distribution controller.
As long as the race doesn't feature fuel consumption...
Is it because the Jimny is AWD? Then again, so is the GR Yaris...

I think it's because it's a high strung drift engine. At 550pp it will use 1/4 of a tank at the 3 lap high speed ring clubman event, but will also tickle 190mph while doing so and lap ~5s a lap faster than my TVR at the same pp.

Speaking of budget, I think the Subaru Impreza WRX STI '14 with the 992 911 Turbo engine is great bang for buck.
