Anyone else hate the sequential transmission?

Wish that they gave us fully customizable manuals with all road cars sick of the sequential yes they faster but sometimes you prefer the manual stick shift and time in between gears.

Also is there no dedicated clutch button??

I think you need to move up to a wheel/pedal setup in order to use a clutch, but I'm waiting for my rig to arrive before I (FINALLY) get to plug in my G923.

Just leave the stock transmission in it then. Sounds like you're driving for the experience rather than for performance. You could also just let go of throttle with every gear shift to simulate the gaps.

Forget it. Another poor coding by PD. The clutch pedal in GT7 just puts it in neutral, not engaging any gear at release, just keeps in neutral until you select a gear.

I believe it's in the semi-racing section in the tuning shop, there's a fully customizable manual transmission.. you still get the time between gears but you can change all the gear ratios and the final drive.

+1 wishing for a clutch 😖

Not gonna lie, that's a habit of mine in this game

^^^^^ This.

Stock transmisions are already much slower than the race ones?? But yeah, the Real Driving Simulator doesn't seem to have proper clutch control.
If you’re starting to slide, any normal car you could push the clutch in and hope to save it, then recover quickly. Now you have to press clutch in hit neutral, decide whether to shift up or down to get a gear, usually instinct is to shift up not down, then you bog down. It’s a good game but some stuff just blows my mind how they made certain things work. Can you imagine trying to drive a real standard, and every-time you pressed the clutch in it would pop itself out of gear? Man that’d be frustrating.. lol

If you’re not using a wheel with an actual shifter, then why would you even care about the actual manual gearbox, it’s just slower all around. I’d get it if you wanted to use a shifter with your wheel, but not on a controller.

There is fully customizeable manual transmission in game in the tuning shop.

I'm pretty sure all cars have the option of a fully customizable manual transmission which retains the traits of the transmission that comes with the car. So I don't understand the complaint.

Yes, this also applies to racecars. Things like the 787B can keep their manuals. You don't have to move up to a sequential if you don't want to. I kept my MkIV with a manual, because it's what makes sense.

It's often more efficient in terms of PP to use the fully customizable manual. The MkIV I mentioned above gains about 10 PP when I change to a sequential. This means I can make a 700 build with the full 500+ bhp and minimal ballast.

Not sure what you mean here? Are you saying if you are in 2nd gear, press the clutch and then not touch the gear lever, then release the clutch it stays in neutral?

I think he’s getting a Mis-shift. GT7’s clutch is poorly implemented and doesn’t really perform like a real clutch at all, where you simply have to nip the pedal to get it in/out of gear. I’ve found you have to have the pedal nearly to the floor. Kinda sucks.

Please give us IG settings to adjust pedal deadzones and min/max PD!!

That's precisely what I mean.
Although, right now my clutch pedal doesn't do anything at all.
