Thing is, Forza 4 seem to sell just about the same as Forza 3, despite numerous improvements (and a somewhat successful hype campaign). Yeah, I bet seeing Forza 4 selling less than GT5p must hurt a little.

Okay, let's suppose Turn 10 is concerned about that. Why should we be?

Why would it hurt at all? GT brand is massive and sells in droves regardless of the quality of the game. Power of the GT brand so to speak. FM4 was marketed less than FM3 and launched around a time period that had many major titles released. Gears3 a month earlier to the upcoming BF3/CODMW3 games. From what we know, FM4 sold on par with FM3 so in my book that's a success. You don't need to make 3+mil figures to be deemed successful, so long as it's not 100k copies.

PS I'm not a sales guy. 💡:P

Perhaps they measure success in terms of Metacritic rating.

Which has their own issues. GTR, top PC sim at the time, had a score factored in to MC overall score of a 1, I kid you not, and the reviewer was comparing it to NFS ProStreet, again... I kid you not.

the only ones crying are the ones stuck with a dusty ps3 and no xbox 360. Period.

lmao!

It's sad when I'm talking games with someone and they ask me if I have a PS3 and I have to pause and think or I actually say "no" real quick and forget I actually do have one.

Anyho.... back to patch talk :-)

One is coming...

From the latest WIR:

"Update on Wheel Issues

As I’ve mentioned on the forums, we are aware of a number of issues with the 900-degree wheel and its interactions with Forza Motorsport 4. In the weeks since the launch of Forza 4, we have been investigating these various issues in preparation for our upcoming second title update for the game. This title update will address a number of different issues in Forza 4, including issues associated with 900-degree wheels. Look for more detail on this title update in the coming weeks."

This is good news! Thanks for the post.

Seems like they just released an update. I was already on Live and playing on Rivals when it disconnected me, and asked me to apply it.

definitely feeling the difference here wow....its muc harder to save now, you need more lock and steer much faster. Gonna relearn my driving.

So much more fun, and so much more challenging. Just had a hell of a time doing the Tsukuba Supra Rivals drift challenge. I feel like drifting and RWD cars in general are "unlocked" now.

Yep, agree with this!

I could be wrong but FF seems stronger now (using the CSR wheel).

Other than the counter steer assist bug, does anyone know what else, if anything, was patched? Have they fixed the 900 degree wheel problem? While I have my new Fanatec GT2 wheel, I have no functioning pedals to try it (CSR pedals won't ship until 12/07). Can anyone confirm whether anything else has been fixed? I tried a google search this morning but turned nothing up as of yet.

On the forzamotorsport.net forum I read earlier that the 900° bug was confirmed fixed.. no link sorry and I couldn't find it just now. The thread is here: http://forums.forzamotorsport.net/forums/thread/5035976.aspx

Other stuff that (supposedly) got fixed were simulation steering in general, speed wheel vibration issues, d-pad cockpit viewing... Mainly, if not only, steering wheel issues. Nothing about glitched LB cars.

Sounds good. Do you still need to power on Xbox before the wheel?

I don't know... didn't read anything on that.. and I use a controller so I'm not really familiar with the concept :P

Any official word on what the patch has, what has been added or fixed? Can't view fm.net at work and the wheel bug fix (and to an extent the counter steer bug) is what's really holding me back on buy a CSR setup

Don't know what else has been fixed, but the counter steering assist is well and truly gone... trying to save a slide is now VERY difficult. The steering generally seems better -more sim like (using a CSR here), and I'm fairly sure FFB has been beefed up. I'm REALLY happy with this patch!:D
