Anyone Expecting a "City Circuit" pack to be released ?

If you're going to argue for city tracks you could at least mention the good ones like Costa di Amalfi, Citta di Aria, and Côte d'Azur. Most city tracks are just a bunch of 90° turns and if you're lucky a roundabout to mix things up.
They've been mentioned many times already, they even have a recent thread specifically about those tracks which is why I said there's been much discussion. I'm pretty sure that thread was focused on tarmac rally and time attack as Famine mentioned that they were truly awful for actual racing.

Madrid, Rome and London were some of the most fun tracks on GT5, surely can't be too hard to port over
Seattle in the original games was my favourite. Would happily pay for it. Absolutely amazing track and reverse is hilarious.

@Suzuki-Cara if they done a San francisco us older GT fans can live out our Steve McQueen fantasies. For the young uns Watch it, some class car chases in the legendary dealer mustang. Ronin has the best car chases ever, if you haven’t seen it, it’s worth it for the chases alone.

Army games?
Seattle Reverse is crazy fun. Flugplatz, Circuito de la Sierra's few crests, and even the Cape Ring jump have nothing on the falling-with-style you could do on Seattle Reverse.

Gaming has changed. Been a gamer since Atari and coleco vision. Nowadays all AAA games are released in a mess. Content is drip fed every so often to keep engagement up.

Just the new generation want participation trophy’s and everything right now. Gaming culture is so toxic nowadays. COD community being the most imo.

Yeah COD has always been near the top for 'toxic' behaviours. Guess partly down to numbers it draws. Doesn't seem as bad in vanguard compared to when I last played it 10 years or so back.

Yeah back in the day everyone talked **** about, “ yo mama “ . Now you can have party chat it’s as good as you want it to be. Vanguard Zombies is a total let down this year. I’m waiting for the 27 th April weekend when it’s double everything to finish the battle pass as I got GT on the brain at atm. Never had anything else on since I bought it. Got the Whole length of Autobahn silver trophy a few days ago which is over 8000 miles. I’m probably over 10000 now.
Hate Warzone and I feel Activision Blizzard is concentrating on that to the detriment of MP.

I would love to see some of the old City tracks brought back to life. Seattle, Rome from GT2/3, Opera Paris are some of my all time favourites

as much as i want to see its return i dont think PD will remake it. the real world location for the latter half of the track has been mostly demolished and revamped so it would be hard to reproduce accurately.

could still do Seattle Short or make a Seattle 2022 which has the first few turns (including the iconic uphill) of the original with a new layout for the latter.

Yeah seemed to free for all for insults, racism etc 10 years or so back. Guess players getting banned now prevents more extreme stuff.

Funny enough gt7 broke my cod addiction this year. Friend persuaded me to try bf2042, just didn't like it from the start (before I was even aware of how bug ridden/unfinished it was). Put my in mood for fps, so tried vanguard and loved it right away. Was playing for hours most days for a few months before gt7 came out. Was difficult to drop it even then:D. I know many sneer at COD, but still has something about it.

Yeah I may head back to complete season battlepass. Think it's double across board now, from what a colleague mentioned yesterday.

Don’t know about a circuits pack but I guess we will see some of the old circuits returning throughout the updates.

But what I would love to see are some open roads. Would be great for chilling out between races and add some variety.

They could also explore historical circuits.

  • Old Siverstone (we need Silverstone first)
  • Targa Florio
  • Old Spa
  • Riverside
  • Reims

Etc.

I’m the same, was in COD Vanguard every day till GT7. I’m sure it’s just double xp just now but April 27th weekend is double everything so will use that to complete the last ten levels of the battle pass. Modern warfare 2 this year. I feel that they are making the maps too campy But remake of Modern warfare 2 should be good. I’m retired and I’m still on COD at launch day. Used to always go to Game at midnight but just buy online and pre load it now and I’m playing at 1201 am every year.

BF 2042 is a dumpster fire imo. i even know Battlefield fan boys who are on Vanguard this year.

Tokyo R246 or GT5’s Rome are the only city circuits I ever see being added. The rest are too narrow, or have features that’d make them too “unrealistic”, like Seattle’s jumps of death.

Cape Ring will always live fondly in memory for that though.

BF 2042 is among the worst game I’ve ever paid full price on. Utter trash and overall I really dig BF. BFV which isn’t exactly the best the franchise has ever seen, no only manages to look better on the PS5 than 2042 (which was supposedly a PS5 game) but also plays a 100x better. DICE completely screwed BF.

Huh? The track list in GT7 is the best in the series by far.
What do you even mean "huh"? Street circuits are really common in real life racing series. About a third of the F1 tracks this year are street circuits. This game has only the one, maybe two or three if you consider Sardegna A and Alsace Village to be street circuits, but they're certainly not in cities like almost all street circuits are.

This game obviously has too many fictional permanent circuits and not enough real life circuits and street circuits. Which is why people keep specifically asking for more new real life circuits and new street circuits. The only way that would be surprising is if you are desperate to pretend this game is absolutely perfect the way it currently is, even though it isn't.

The huh is at the statement he made that the current courses are "dull and unimaginative"

So in addition to not having played enough racing games, you've also not played enough GT games!
I played hundreds of hours of every GT as they were released except 6 which I skipped because it launched on a last gen machine.

That award has to go to GT4 surely. The track list in GT7 is ok, though it's mostly the same as GT Sport which is dissapointing, there should have been more new/returning tracks that didn't appear in GT Sport. But GT4's track list was immense when it came out and still holds strong today.

I would give 4 a strong second place. At some point you also have to give the quality consideration as well. Playing GT4 on original equipment makes me ill the graphics are so bad. It did have one of the best tracks the game had to offer though. :)

A lot wider track than I think most people remember. 😉

They've never done track "packs" so no I'm not expecting this.

PD are the kind to spread out updates as far and wide as they can, so expect 2 or 3 tracks per year tops.

Edit: Well, looking through the thread now, I think we've figured out who doesn't like those tight courses then... 😂

Edit2: Although to be fair, those tight city tracks would realistically be used for time-trials/rally/touge and not actual grid racing.

The track list is decent but not perfect, but of try just fixed so we had plenty of events on each track on world circuits, there would be plenty to do on 34 different locations we have in the game, new cars and tracks are always welcome.

A new track maybe every 3 months at most, i think at the start we might have new cars every month, witch are very welcome, but i am also excited what their plan is for engine parts as they mention would be part of updates, i want the exclusive tuning parts, but so far with 6 weeks of playing not much luck, the roulettes are horrible, they need to allows to earn more than one roulette per day, one is never going to be enough of i want those exclusive engine parts even if i play the game for years,
I think they new cars will arrive either april 28-29

If you need me to post a picture of the narrow sections of Tokyo I will. Some of it barely fits two cars.
I think it's fair to say the widest part of Tokyo is notably wider than the widest part of Amalfi and the narrowest part of Amalfi is notable narrower than the narrowest part of Tokyo. Neither track is great for racing on, though time trialing on Amalfi was a delight I can't say the same for Tokyo.

The old Tokyo R246 track however was delightful.

PD could always just redesign Amalfi similar to that Rally Di Positano track Forza had.
