Oh I see what Mardy did there... Put himself all alone in the lead from the start and coldly left his teammate to dead last :P

Yeah what's that all about? :P Great for the team spirit mar ;)

Because it's the done in (sort of) the order of signups. To change it would involve a bit of cutting and pasting which I'll just have to change again when the season starts. Ergo, leaving it as it is.

The team's standings are on the next sheet. ;)

When does the season start? I would like Cameillia Red as my color and number 3.

The color looks nothing like plain old red. More metallic orange yellow.

What was the decision on me having a red car? As long as it's a different shade?

Well mine is a light red, but there is no rule about running cars of the same colour. :)

So whatever shade of red you want, it's up to you.

Also, nice avatar. :)

Awesome!

Consider me signed up PSN Dayofwar2009.

I'll be driving some very unique reddish/orange/yellow color. With number 3 or 8, whatever is available.

Well ok then, I'll let it slide for this time..

Haven't tried the car yet, hope it's really easy driven, then i might have a chance sometimes. :P

Are you actually saying you signed up before the series creator?:odd:

Up to you Yera but I'm a reserve at best, due to work. The rounds I make my car will be the best looking atleast ;).

Yeah. Which is perfect as I needed to point something out. The OP here states that we'll be running with no tuning @ 207bhp. As the graphic above shows, the car actually makes 213hp fully broken in. So which one are we running with?

Edit: Quick addition to my color choice, I was able to find a red paint chip that gave me black stripes & lettering, so if the other red cars have white stripes & lettering it should be different enough to tell them apart. 👍

No. That's why I put sort of. When I first filled in the tables there was already, or so signups which I put in the table (not necessarily in the order that they signed up). Any subsequent signups were put in next, therefore it's in order of signups insomuch as Niko (and others) signed up later and as such is further down the list. :)

It's most likely that either Dax's isn't fully broken in, or that that is the closest point as at which you can set the power restriction. :)

The room will be limited to 207BHP so that people with a car broken in will not gain too much.

So, I have to buy a new car then? Probably should just be a rule that everyone has to break in their cars. It's really not too difficult to do so.

It might be better to have it as 213bhp, because if you start the race limited to 207bhp in an unbroken in car, you'll have 211-2bhp by the end of the race, which is even less fair and penalises those who could be bothered to break their cars in. :indiff:

And tuning prohibited stops people from cheating.

Then I'll team up with you if that's ok... if so, could you name the paint chips you used?

No Paul, a car with Swedish flag colors isn't exactly the best looking of the field. :sly:

At least it looks better than either a Portuguese flag (Green body/Red rims) or Brazilian flag colour scheme (Yellow body/Blue rims)...

I know because as a brazilian living in Portugal for 25 years I've tried both... :sly:

Can't you just limit your car to 207..?

Power limiting a car creates a torque advantage. In this case it may not be very big, but just bringing it up. What's the reason for 207 anyway? The room won't do 213?

Edit: Wait, setting a power limit in the room doesn't matter anyway. If you have "tuning prohibited" selected, you don't need to set any other limits because they won't be allowed anyway...

But then the guys who don't wear it in will gain power during the race.. :P but then again, that's a pretty neat feature, that those who practise the most get a little less power ;)

Exactly.

Set tuning prohibited, everyone breaks in their cars to 213hp, and let's race. Can't get any simpler than that. :dopey:

Not exactly what I meant lol.

If everyone's car is limited to 207, then that is the most even surely. Sure, people with more broken in engines will get a tiny tiny bit more torque but still.

I'm just confused over the reasoning for it having to be 207 instead of 213. How is everyone being at 207 more even then everyone being at 213.

:) yeah China don't care! Comments about Swedish flag though... wait a minute don't care about that either.

Reposting this /doingaFuri.

People without broken in engines will get more power as their car wears in during the race.

So it would, technically, be better to buy a new car for every race. :ill:

So why is 213 more even than 207?

It's the way I've always done it for spec racing series'.

I'm sorry it just makes no sense to me. Why employ the limiter when it's not needed? Why 207 and not 213 which is the true HP number for the car when it's broken in? I've done this before, it's not new to me and I'm sure you know that.

Like I said, if the room is set up for tuning prohibited, and everyone has a broken in car, it really shouldn't be this big of an issue. I just don't get why you are stuck on the 207 figure.

But a better torque band in the early stages, before the new cars gain their break-in horsepower later in the race. ;)

I'm not very good with this car, but I do like driving it. I'll apply later if you'll have me. I see you've moved your start time back an hour or two from the Elise races, which is great for me.

Im still sorry for stealing your win at the last race at Daytona road, I lead about 20 metres the whole race, the last 20 metres
