look pretty good really just spotted it on ebay myself!
has anyone tryed it... tested it. got feedback on the quality of build etc.

I know this an old thread, but I think this wheel stand deserves more attention. I just got mine a couple days ago and I really like it, my wheel stand seems to be much more stable than the one they tested on Inside Sim Racing, maybe they have made some changes inbetween, I don't know. I'm a small guy, so maybe if you put the wheel a lot higher you'll notice some shakyness. Build quality is excellent and adjustability is great. I use the classic Ikea chair and the position of the pedals and wheel is perfect. I bought it from the ebay store and shipment was reasonably fast ( 10 days from HK to Belgium ), cost was not that expensive thanks to the low price of the US-Dollar. I can highly recommend this stand !

Well, I just ordered their AP1. I'm in HK and I went to their office to tried out their AP1 and AP2Plus. I can say that both are excellent products. Very well built and very strudy. I went with AP1 because I like it's slightly lower seat position. I'm going to sell my Playseat Evo now.

I'm probably gonna be aiming at these. The fact that they increased the price of the Playseat and the Ozone by $200.+ has made me pretty bitter about those two. I already have a seat, as well, so I can bolt it on top of the AP2 Plus.

Also, for $250. even it seems like a good deal.

Oh, actually, I forgot about the shifter mount, making it $300. Still $50. cheaper than the base model Playseat, though.

I saw these on eBay for $200 including shipping....not too bad. My wife would like me to have this instead of what I do have! LOL

It comes out to be exactly $200. for the foldable one, if I'm not missing something. It's $199.99 with $0.01 shipping.

I thought the same originally, but when i scrolled down to the bottom of the ebay page there was a notice that the $0.01 shipping charge is incorrect. I emailed them and got a response of

Still not that horrible of a price though, but the shipping takes up a big part of the cost.

I have to say, that stand looks fantastic. I wonder if it would work with my lazy boy recliner. The recliner I have has a motor in it, im able to position it almost to the point where I'm standing up. lol. So I wonder if I could make it work with the shifter addon.

I just ordered a GT2, CSP and shifter set. So I have to decide soon which route to go.

Didn't ISR say there was going to be a distribution centre in Vancouver for this stand? If so that would greatly reduce shipping costs.

I actually emailed them from their ebay page asking for shipping quotes to Vancouver for AP2 and AP2 Plus. Note in his reply he says shipping rates to Canada. I the fact that the AP2 Plus is only 5 dollars more to ship makes me really think about purchasing it.

His reply:

I'm probably gonna ask them for $55. shipping to FL and ask them for the stand and the shifter for $320. shipped. I mean, basically, the thing is being made in Hong Kong for pennies on the dollar, and shipped from the cheapest place on earth for shipping. Worth a shot, I think.

Wow, I was about to get a Wheelstand pro, but after seeing this I'm glad I didn't. Costs a little more and I'll have to wait a little longer to get it, but this is exactly what I've been looking for.

I believe Apiga is a Taiwanese company. Not sure if the actual products are made in Taiwan or not. They might have a factory in China. I'm sure they are not made in Hong Kong. I'm in Hong Kong and I just bought an AP1 to replace my old Playseat Evolution last week. I had to wait few days for their next shipment of AP1 to get to Hong Kong. Anyway, if they have this AP1 few years back, I would never bought the Playseat Evolution. In Hong Kong, they are in the same price range and AP1 is so much better than Playseat Evolution. AP1's seat gives you much more support on the back and it's so much more comfortable to sit on for long hours of simracing. Also, the frame is sturdy like rock. Basically, it's better than Playseat Evolution in every ways except AP1 is not foldable. But I've never folded my Playseat so it's never been a concern for me.

I tried their AP2 as well but bought AP1 for it's slightly lower seat position and it's a bit more stable than AP2. Not that AP2 is not sturdy...but the side panels on the AP1 really help to make the whole frame solid like rock.

i think it looks good (not my pic)

I'd love something like this, but my only gripe is it's size. It'd be nice if you were able to quickly detach the seat and making the frame somewhat foldable to be put in the closet.

I'd then have the seat sitting on the floor as an extra gaming seat when a buddy comes over and were not racing.

franjo, i think thats what the above pic is. i think a ap1 is just a ap2 with a seat added to it. if you look closely you can see two nobs where the seat joins with the ap2. on their site there is indeed a picture of just the seat with rails, you can see the bars that slot in the ap2 i think.

Black,

Very cool, you are 100% right. I'm looking at pictures on their ebay page more closely.

I could turn those knobs, remove the ap1 portion of it, and voila. Fold and put away and still have the chair out in the open sitting on its base. Huge plus!

I wonder how sturdy it is.

Hey tony1201, very nice seats you guys have. Did you friend mod the steering wheel? The wheel rim looks like it's covered in Alcantara...something similar to GT2?
