I'd get one of these if I didn't already have a Rennsport Wheelstand, for which I'm drawing up plans to attach a racing seat. Thomas said there would be a racing seat coming for it, but I guess it's sitting on a shelf next to the clubsport shifter in Vapourland.

For the guys who will be using the seat stand-alone when not racing, I'd be careful of anyone walking around without shoes on. Those open ended bars wouldn't feel good.

I know this an old thread, but I think this wheel stand deserves more attention. I just got mine a couple days ago and I really like it, my wheel stand seems to be much more stable than the one they tested on Inside Sim Racing, maybe they have made some changes inbetween, I don't know. I'm a small guy, so maybe if you put the wheel a lot higher you'll notice some shakyness. Build quality is excellent and adjustability is great. I use the classic Ikea chair and the position of the pedals and wheel is perfect. I bought it from the ebay store and shipment was reasonably fast ( 10 days from HK to Belgium ), cost was not that expensive thanks to the low price of the US-Dollar. I can highly recommend this stand !

Did you pay any tax in Belgium?
I'm about to order the AP2 Plus.
I wonder if there's any tax when shipped to the EU.

Hey tony1201, very nice seats you guys have. Did you friend mod the steering wheel? The wheel rim looks like it's covered in Alcantara...something similar to GT2?

Hi, This is AL (Tony1201`s FD with the re-trimmed T500 wheel). It`s real suede instead of Alcantara (which is artificial suede but more durable).

My standard rubber wheel coating had a lot of `scratch marks` on it after a short while so I went to a quality auto trimmer to have it done. I actually wanted normal leather but they made a mistake and used the more expensive suede. End up just paying the cheaper price though :)

Hi makimak22, thanks dropping by and share with your info on your mod. If you have the time, would you be so kind to post some close-up pictures on the wheel rim? Also, if you don't mind, how much you paid to get it done?

Maybe you could start a new thread...it's a bit off-topic...I think many T500RS owners would like to know the mod.

I recieved the Apiga AP2 Plus last week.
shipping time from Hong Kong to Denmark was only a couple of days, but the package got stuck in customs for almost 3 weeks.

I needed a foldable cockpit with a dual post design, and the Apiga was really the only option available.
In the ISR review, one of the cons was not being able to mount the pedals further back, making the seating position somewhat cramped.
This could potentially be a problem for me, but it's not an issue at all.
With the new design, you can even tilt the dual posts further down, making it a good position when driving open wheelers.

I will not be mounting a seat to the Plus frame anytime soon, but I have the option later.
For the time being, I will only use it as a standard AP2 with my office chair and couch.

Feel free to ask any questions regarding the AP2.

Hello!
Great interest to the Apiga racing seat. Unfortunately, the free space in the my apartment is limited, therefore requires the cockpit with the ability to detach the seat frame with racing char from wheel stand. Viewing many sites have come to the conclusion that only Apiga products has the necessary functionality.
Please answer the following questions:
1) write the sizes known to you (L1..L13 dimensions) – see picture http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/683/ap2pdims.jpg/ (information is necessary because of the fact that free space in the my apartment is limited)
2) is it possible to move the seat further back to increase the L10 (see picture) distance?
3) being able to mount the pedals further back to increase the L10 distance?
4) won't make problems daily to attach the seat frame with racing char to wheel stand and to detach the seat frame with racing char from wheel stand?
Thanks in advance.

Im intersted in one of these, Aparrently the one on ISR is a copy (gtomega ) and not apiga, And the apiga one does have adjustibale peddle mounts,

i found this on ISR forums
Hi Darin, how are you doing? I think we need a clarification here, the GT Omega wheel stand is a "COPY" version of our APIGA AP2, which we believed the production is from CHINA, they were not from our factory or sort of OEM products!!

APIGA AP2 is our own design and we have design patent, which available in the market on 2009 already, we are now seeking legal advice to stop this kind of copy action, I hope all racers/gamers to know the truth, beware and help to stop about the copy action, thanks.

By the way, our AP2 has newer modify already, which the foot pedal platform have 3 distance adjustment, also same gearshift mount now support to install on either side (left or right) of the stand, racers doesn't have to buy a second one if they want to change the driving side, more flexible to some racers, thanks.

I also had PlaySeat Evo, back in Canada, but when I moved back to Taiwan, I find Apiga AP1 is much better than PlaySeat in many ways.
