I just found out. Only the Devs PSN Network is back up. Not the Public's. I'm so stupid. My Aunt works for Sony in San Diego where the attack happened and I didn't ask her a thing about PSN yet...

Yeah I thought so. I wouldn't expect PSN to come back up all at once. It'll probably make the Network Crash again. Hopefully it's up by Sunday. If not I'm going to PSN Rehab..

I want to dori tonight. I would practice my constant countersteer on Forza with someone but my internets down for some reason.

Did you win that G27 thunder? (What's your real name I hate calling you that)

Sadly. Nope I didn't win that G27. Someone bid higher before I could check. Oh well. I'm starting to love the DFGT though.
And here my name then. Umar.
Spell it Omar if you wish I don't really mind ;)
I actually prefer thunder because I've used that as my user name for a LONG time. I also respond to that much quicker on PSN.
I wants to drift badly online...
What sounds better?
Toyota FT Tyre Burner
Or
Toyota FT Tyre Shredder

Changed. Man drifting with a wheel is like starting from square one again >.<'
I can't turn the damn wheel quick enough to counter steer in time...

I don't know if you can but is it possible to change it to 720 degrees rotation. I've seen people talk about that alot. Don't hold me to it but it seems you should shorten the turning angle. Are you attemping to hold the wheel in one place? I drifted for a short time on Xbox so I might be able to help but that's a different game.

I'm sure all the other members of the cat litter will help.

I don't think you can. Unless I hook it up to the PC and use it on PC. The only thing you can change in GT5 is the FFB settings and Power Steering.

I must be thinking of the G series or something.

Wow after watching Top Gear Sabine Schmitz is my idol. Now to go race the Nurburgring.

Maybe we should do something like what SlideFX is. We should hold our own time trials whilst psn is down. Just for a wee friendly competion. Anyone in?

100% in. Name your car and track.

Yeh as a trial run. I may set up a touge thread to post peoples times on and when psn is back on for people to compete. Touge has elements of drifting in it so I can't see a problem.

Two cars race on a run. The car behind as to keep up and attempt to stay close to the car in front and must not hit them. If they finish within a certain distance/time they win and vice versa for the lead car.

This is drifting related as some times the fastest way around a corner is to drift it. :)

Nice. That sounds pretty good. It keeps the consentration high. And adds suspense. I was thinking we could have a group F1 race. I would love to do an F1 race. We could use the FGT or the Ferrari F1s. But I know most people would get bored.

I'm always up for some racing. It's a nice break from drifting. I'll wait for Jeffs input on the touge as he set up the thread on FM.net and he knows the rules more than I do.

Want to do a time trial? Pick an arcade car and a track. Make sure it's a short track. Also pick the driving assists. I'll try this out later.

When ever someone posts a time I'll update this post and link it in an update post.
Tell me if I've missed any Driving Aids out.
I can't choose them now. I'm out the house going to a movie. Probably won't be back till 7-8pm. I'll say the Driving Aids though.

Nurgurgih ring gp and I dunno what car yet.

There's two GP versions or Nurburg. There's the GP/D and the GP/F. I put GP/F for now.
Let's hope some other team members will join in as well.

I was thinking maybe we should build our own car but keep it to certain limits for example certain tyres, certain class and definetly certain drivetrain. As Fr is generally no match to AWD in the events of a competition.

Let's take this discussion to our group as this is getting of topic. 👍

Sadly I cannot read the group stuff on the GTP App. I'm going to have to move it all to the group when I get back.

I've started a group discussion. The rules will change if you want also build an AWD car if you have the money. First track GP/F and AWD class. You only need to have three cars for our racing. An FF, FR and AWD. 👍

I got all types of cars. And 500k to spare. All I need to know are the limits. BHP, Weight etc.
Before this gets off topic, I'm going to attempt some more drifting with my wheel. Hopefully I can atleast hold a drift for 1 second...

I'm sure you'll learn the basics with in the first week don't worry. There is no BHP or weight limit right now. Just a 500 pp limit but now I can see that there still is a big gap in car specs despite the pp number so the rules might change. We'll just have to give it a try and see. My Evo IX is doing fine but I might change the tyres from CH too maybe SH. That'll make it easier for us all.

Just a little tip while drifting with the wheel, when you initiate your drift, let go of the wheel for a second and let the force feedback countersteer for you. Same goes for transitioning. Let the wheel counter-spin itself. Otherwise you won't counter-steer in time. And yeah, I'm down for some time-trials.

Also, "touge" means "mountain pass". Two cars race down a mountain pass, hence it got its name. If the following car overtakes the lead car before the finish, the following car wins. If the follow car stays within X amount of feet at the finish, its a tie and they switch leads. If the follow car falls behind X amount of feet by the finish, the lead car wins.
